Great review! The close up shots are really helpful to get a good idea of the features, quality and layout of the keys.

I don’t understand how they can make an ergonomically focused keyboard but then not have a version without a numPad so you can keep the mouse/trackball in tighter on the right side.

I never understood why back lighting is so important. Using a computer in a dark room is not good for the eyes, and probably not good for posture too

You have a nice, clear communication style. I currently use the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business (5KV-00001 ), and I would have liked for you to have compared Logitech's offerings to Microsoft's keyboards of similar design.

As a tall fella,just purchased 6hrs ago,it’s fitting fantastic for my hand size. Don’t skimp on tools you use fairly..or you will use them rarely. 👌

I'm considering getting this keyboard, mainly for programming, but I would be gaming on it occasionally. I don't mind it not having gamer-oriented features, but there are 2 things I'm kind of worried about. Firstly, performance - is there any noticeable latency or missed inputs? I have heard that some wireless keyboards "fall asleep" after a very short period of inactivity in order to save energy, is this an issue with this one? My other concern is with the numpad. Keyboards without one tend to be better from both gaming and ergonomic perspectives, because the travel distance from keyboard to mouse is shorter and the arm position ends up being more natural. Did you feel like this was a problem with this keyboard?

I'm using MS Sculp Keyboard and it's really good, the only crap are function buttons - they are smaller, harder to press and Fn switch toggle is misunderstanding... thats why I'm looking forward to test this K860 model

Mine just arrived today. Overall I think it's a great keyboard, but I really wish they had added extended padding going up the left side of the keyboard so I can comfortably use commands to change tabs/windows and to save files, which I do very often. In order to execute them I have to my wrist off of the wrist rest completely.

Hi I'M thinking, with some carefully cut soft cotton canvas and some strategically placed double sided tape... It should prove possible to prevent the fabric covering the wrist rest from wearing out or least greatly extending its useful life. No need to replace entire keyboard just because the fabric wears out. 🤔

Damn, I wish I saw this review before buying the new MS ergonomic keyboard. I didn't know this could switch between bluetooth devices. I needed a keyboard that would work between my desktop and laptop and was thinking the bluetooth wouldn't work using my KVM (which is what I use for the MS ergo to switch between devices).

the keys are incredibly sensitive. i have so many retypes because the keys repeat at the lightest of touches sometimes. anyone else having this problem?

Just picked it up. Loving it so far. Wish there was a light for the numbers lock, but otherwise it’s what I wanted. Easy pairing with my iPad and iPhone. The switch is pretty quick. Keys feel nice. The only way you won’t like/appreciate this keyboard is if you don’t “type”. One finger typist may find it irritating have a split keyboard. I’ve never needed the backlit keys. They look nice, but I don’t use them for typing. Rechargeable battery would have been nice, but not a deal breaker (obviously, since I purchased it). I’d like to say $129 is too much, I’ve purchased and returned several keyboards over the past month or so that cost less. None had all the features or comforts of this keyboard. So, take that for what it’s worth.

MX Master 3 comes out. I gotta get that. Ergo comes out. Damn it! My poor bank account.

after a year of using mine (k860) I love it and recommend it and also just bought a second one for work. The ONLY thing I wish it had was a rechargeable battery like my BT Arteck keyboard....which is not ergo, nor do i love it....but it's light, rechargeable, portable, and just basically good and functional. Again, I highly recommend the logitech k860....just great!

Nice review. My current (new/less than 3 weeks old) keyboard (Logitec K780) is killing my wrist and the “C” key keeps sticking. I’m bringing that keyboard bak within the hour and already ordered/piking up the K860. More what I’m looking for - I need/want a keyboard that lets me go back and forth between my computer, tablet and phone.

I use a Contour Rollermouse which comes with its own wrist pad. Really wish the keyboard pad on this one was detachable!

You mention that you miss back lit keys but that does not really makes sense for this kind of keyboard. This more aimed at typist and people who type blind. They don't need that and why would they if you don't need to look at your keyboard while typing. Otherwise solid review :) Thx

Damn haven't watched since the I-phone 3G review days.

I've been using one of these for over 10 months now. The 6/^ key is on the wrong side of the split. The pegs or feet for elevating the wrists are fragile. They have long since departed the mortal realm. The touch and operation of the keyboard are excellent. The shape of the keyboard is excellent. I have a bit of carple-tunnel starting up in my right wrist and it has improved since I started using this keyboard. I recommend the K860 from Logitech. I just wish they would put the 6 key on the right-hand side of the split.

If Microsoft had to improve their Surface Ergonomic Keyboard, this is what would come out.

The little space between the keyboard and wrist pad, I would imagine a lot of dead skin falling in and getting trapped in that space over time.

From the second he pulled that dongle... Nope!, The RF fails overtime, and if you loose it, another nightmare starts, the keys didn't look Tactile, nor backlight... I take the Microsoft surface keyboard instead Coming from IT..., that I had only use ergo keyboards since CompUsa...

This was a good review, with relevant information. But I hate the distractions with the dog. It has nothing to do with the halfwits, who will accuse me of not liking dogs. I like dogs just fine. But it's more about etiquette and professionalism. Why do people feel the need to interject their animals into something that has NOTHING to do with their animals??? It's rude, annoying and wastes our time. I normally click off as soon as I see it, but decided to give this vid a little more leeway for some reason. The feeling is still the same, even though Soldier appears to be a very likeable guy. Why is it so hard to just stick to the subject matter, and leave the animals for your Instagram or personal channel? The reason I took the time to mention this is because I value my time, and it feels wasted whenever someone goes well away from the topic I clicked to see. Just a note, as even though many will flame me about this comment, which I couldn't care less what some halfwit says, I feel that when you're trying to build your channel it's relevant information to NOT use polarizing things. That way you reach the maximum amount of viewers. And isn't that what it's all about??? Lastly, I just received mine, and the keys are the most perfect balance of responsiveness, click force, sound and comfort. Touching the keys in a store is the entire reason I purchased this keyboard. I wasn't even in the market. BUT, getting used to the wide split is proving a bit of a challenge. Although I've only had it one day. Good vid overall.
