It really all depends on whether you're able to convince yourself that the features it has are absolutely worth the money and whether you wanted those features to begin with. If we're being honest, 90% of sim racers stick to the 5-8 Nm range and don't need more to drive consistently. Some will explore higher than that, but personally, I think I'm part of the majority that doesn't need anymore than that. If you're using your CSL DD and thinking 'this would be perfect with more Nm headroom and i'm willing to pay for it', then you got your wish. I'm just not sure the simracing community applauded uproariously because this thing has clutch pedals. It's a neat feature, but necessary? Probably not, so comparing it to a Fanatec rim and universal hub assumes that people need it in the first place. If you're a person who needs it due to a disability it's a godsend, but most simracers aren't hurting over having a wheel without secondary clutch pedals there. You're also not considering that there's literally no ecosystem at this time. When there are release dates for alternate rims, let's talk about whether it's worth it then, but you don't have any alternatives at this time. No release date for open wheel, GT3, or wider rim than the standard wheel it comes with. There's also a matter of reviewers sticking to iRacing, AC or ACC, and MAYBE Automobilista 2 and nothing else. There are a handful of people with this wheel complaining that it doesn't work with RaceRoom. This wheel has to go through the stress test of hundreds or thousands of simracers using it and being able to iron out some of the issues everyday users have with the wheel. All this said, I'd love to purchase this wheel and have my eye on its sale price, but there are multiple reasons as to why the price tag is just a tad too high to instantly catapult it ahead of a Fanatec, Moza, or Sim Magic. I don't doubt that it's a fantastic wheel, but their concerns are valid.

Logitech finally realised they don't sell it in NZ despite it being on their website and selling other Logitech products in the country! Went with thrustmaster t-gt ii with t-lcm load cell pedals and 599xx Ferrari alcantara wheel

@@kevinking9752 should be pointed out its 11nm sustained torque not peak and from the reviews it apparently gives significantly more detail and fidelity in the ffb than the csl dd or r9

I quite like the design of the wheel that it comes with. Also the lack of options saves me money (for example, if I bought an R9 I'd 'need' an RS v2, a GS and I'd still want an FSR). I wonder Logitech and McLaren are arguing over design choices :D

I’ve had the 929 like 3 years now I was never a fan of driving or racing but I seen someone use it for Forza and said I must have it, im seriously getting hooked myself and find myself leaning Logitech since all my peripherals are logi.. hope they really keep this up I think I’m going to pull the trigger and buy this in 3 weeks

it also has active cooling, it would weigh a ton if the shell was made of metal, isnt the moza r16/r21 shell made of plastic

Except for the true force. I own this wheel and turn it off. It's not good. Feels so unnatural. I'm just shocked that reviewers are saying how good it is. I know opinions and preferences are subjective, but with my own actual experience using it, I find it hard to believe that any reviewers giving their actual opinion would say how great true force is.

Same here. And then there is the customer support. I had a faulty pedal setup with my Fanatec wheel and pedal set, and it took ages to get it resolved. The customer support is a real issue with Fanatec. You just have to read their user forum to understand this.

For Logitech pro pedals it’s USB to the wheel but that’s proprietary and will only allow you to connect Logitech pro peripherals of which there aren’t any others at the moment. I got the wheel and pedals and I love them - no issues - they’re not cheap but premium product in my opinion and they’re probably gonna outlast me 😂🤪

@@MrNeilRoberts I pulled the trigger on both too and arriving tomorrow. Since there's 3 USBs on the back my guess is they will bring a shifter and a handbrake out too.

ACC has a bug - you can fix this by going to the control options screen and then straight back out to the car and the RPM LEDs will work then. AMS2 needs an update (or you can switch the wheel to its G923 compatibility mode and that gets it working too).

I upgraded from the t300. The thing I noticed straight away when using the g pro was just how good the t300 was, it provides all the feedback you need and doesn't limit you in anyway. The other thing I noticed is that IMO 11nm is basically useless, the wheel becomes heavy to the point that it makes no sense to use it that way, i turned it down to 5nm and it was more than enough. I really don't think increasing strength of force feedback really provides any additional advantages. I upgraded since I got a good deal, but at full price it definitely isn't something you need if you already own a t300 and it's working great for you.

i have podium dd1 and reversed pedal set. it is shit. it worked 2/5 times when i open my sim pc every once a while. I dont have a lot of time to mess with it. I went back to g9x logitech. Plug and play is what I need.

Yes it would. It's a good price with pedals. The simucube Pro is more than that for base alone. Expensive hobby.

Much of the space is hollow though. If you look at the front corners, which is the widest point of the base, they are hollow

Also, the wideness of the base is likely to support those 11nm in a desk clamp configuration. A narrow base wouldn’t provide as much support, so they’re likely thinking of folks outside of the rig setup.

@@RyKnocks perhaps. But again, others in the business have overcome these engineering issues. And I’m not trying to dump on Logitech; they’ve made an amazing wheel here, but I think they’ve done themselves a disservice with the wheelbase design being what it is.

@@SimRacing604 The worse part of the design is how tall it is and only option to base mount. Makes it hard to get a screen right behind the wheel without the screen sitting too high relative to your eyes.

Excuse my ignorance here, but why buy an X box wheel. Honest question. I'm keen on Forza Motorsport, but have Playstation 5 and G PRO with PS/PC wheel. Console games, I think, are piorotised/optimised for their native platforms from my understanding I love GT7 with VR2, and would also like to try Fora Motorsport.i hate PC! An X Box wheel, whilst being able to be used on my G-Pro base, does not mean I can use my PS, tho? I really would rather buy an X Box, but then I would have to buy an X Box wheel for my G Pro Did I say I hate PCs? 😅

Ughhh. That makes for a pricey investment if you have to purchase the pro pedals also. For the time being, I think I will go with a Fanatec . A bit cheaper and their customer service is heads and shoulders above Logitech. Thanks for the reply and the great review.

To anyone who might see this. Be very,very,very, carful ordering any thing from Logitech. I ended up ordering a wheel and adapter from them. Both showed in stock and ready to ship, however after I paid I get a note saying that my order has been indefinitely delayed. No explanation, just indefinitely delayed. Since then I have been trying to cancel my order, but it is impossible to get hold of a living person. Bottom line is that they basically stole my $1100.00 with no intention of ever shipping anything

@@SimRacing604 lol no. I have a 7 speed shifter, never use the paddles except in game menus. I am a rally racer and truck sim driver.

The Accuforce is good but the gigantic power supply with the loud fan made me stay away

@@stevep927 yeah a lot of people have said that. But I am half deaf so I always wear headphones and I have tons of space under my rig to tuck that power supply away. I don't plan to buy one, I prefer all the accessories available from Fanatec and Fanatec has good game compatibility.

It’s been out for months (and the test units for far longer) and there are no reports of damage.

Only the outer shell is plastic, it bears zero mechanical load/feature other than to provide cover for internals. Load bearing chassis, motor, shafts, QR are all made of high quality metal.
