That sounds super cheap making all of the truck drivers learn your computer system... That should be a manned shack IMO
@TheBUGZNTA6 жыл бұрын
If you work a wendy's you are going to have to learn A computer system to clock in and out of your job. Are they being cheap by not having somebody to man that computer? Only lazy ass truckers would complain about having to do anything that isn't strictly sitting in a truck. Every other job nobody questions having to learn company specific system's.
@mfk123406 жыл бұрын
I only know the computer of the specific yard I go to. If I was one of those contractors that deliver loads I wouldn't be too happy. You can't expect a driver to know 15 different computer systems, one for each yard they may have to deliver to. But then again, I don't know how logging contracts work, if they only deliver to one mill or something like that.
@mrbeefhbw6 жыл бұрын
The issue is these guys don't work for the lumber mill. They work for the logging company. This would be like if you went into Wendys to get your lunch only to be told you need to make it yourself.
@xaiano7945 жыл бұрын
not having it manned means that they can afford to pay the truckers more, so there is that to consider.

There's a "paramilitary" style of safety boot that laces-to-fit, but zips on/off on the side. When I have to travel through airports, they save a lot of time. I double-tie the laces so the fit is always perfect. PPE should be comfortable and completely fit so you barely know it's there ... until it saves you.

I laughed at their safety items they said you needed to wear while watching the driver leave his truck face first instead of using 3 point stance as I was taught to do. I have actually seen a video of a driver leaving face first face plant at a fueling station, which is why you should go down the other way.

Carson Stephens hoisting trailer's! Some trailer's can be moved up on the back of the truck.
@darkfangulas6 жыл бұрын
when a truck comes in pulling a trailer full then unloads the driver will lift his trailer onto the back of the truck so the trailer doesnt have to be towed saving on trailer mileage and can get to his next destination without worrying about towing a traielr

Wearing a vest and helmet in the scale house is one of the silliest things I have ever heard. I mean you afraid the roof is going to fall in. OSHA/health and safety is one of the stupidest over bloated government agency's out there. And they cant see how stupid they look requiring these items that can't even do anything for you.
@mikek86326 жыл бұрын
At the point you are at the scale house your load is still secured therefore nothing would be able to fall on you anyway therefore as Joel said it's one of the stupidest requirements possible.

So you take the pink card, print the crap on the back of it, then take another pink card, write what is printed on the back of the first pink card to this card, then you take another two pink cards and write the same crap on them (or copy them, but that printer has no pink color, so probably write it all again and again) then staple one pink card on the logs, one pink card goes probably to the box (nobody said that but it probably goes) and then you keep one pink card.. What do you do with the pink card that has crap printed on the back of it - nobody knows:) Some put it on the log, some put it in the box and some take it. Some say, that some truck drivers use the pink card to shit - its a very popular activity, in which the goal is to shit on the pink card so much, that it is all brown. The biggest of truckers can totally shit over all three of these cars, taking a stance on the government check:DDD
