The Marvel / Disney+ streaming behemoth continues to steamroll over every other known content provider - having already hit us with WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier this year, we’re now preparing ourselves for the next spin-off show from the unstoppable Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A little show called Loki.
Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal of the cunning and ruthless God of Mischief, adopted brother of Thor and scourge / black sheep of Asgard, has been one of the highlights of MCU, launching a thousand fan Tumblrs. And while the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame might have led us to believe we’d seen the last of him, we should have known that they would find a way to bring him back somehow.
And bring him back they have, for a limited series created by Michael Waldron - a name genre fans may know from the likes of Rick and Morty, and the upcoming Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.
In the new series, Loki falls foul of a secretive celestial intervention agency known as the Time Variance Authority, personified by Owen Wilson, making his MCU debut as the laconic Mobius M Mobius.
In this video, we’re going to give a bit of background on the TVA and their comics history, and ask what their arrival in the MCU means for the series, Loki’s character, and the Marvel franchise as a whole.
The show debuts in June, and you’d best believe we’ll be covering the heck out of it.

I think that kang would be the perfect villain for the mcu, he should be the big bad that phase 4 ends off on though i think, the last one was thanos collecting the infinity stones and the next villian being kang a person from what i understand time travels through multiple universes it would be the perfect continuation with the last movie a "time heist" . It would be a good thing to maybe either see him show up in a end credits scene in the new doctor strange movie or have doctor strange learn of him as a up and coming big bad.

Has anyone else noticed the little piano notes at the end of most Loki trailers is the exact same little triple note that is played in Ghostbusters the original movie, when bill Murray's character is looking around trying to find the ghosts they are there for, and it's also in the new one coming out with Paul Rudd too I just think this is there for a specific reason but I do not have a clue why it's there at this point

I always loved it when the TVA was first introduced. None of them had any faces (the ultimate faceless bureaucracy embodied), except for the Executive Vice Presidents who all had Mark Gruenwald's face - at least that's what I heard then. I think that's been retconned since, but THAT was fun. 🤣

My personal theory is that Möbius M. Möbius is actually a future redeemed version of Loki making sure his younger version sates on the right path, and, y’know, having fun messing with his own younger self

So if the TVA sees infinite dimensions and has every line of dialogue that Loki has spoken, wouldn't they have the dialogue from all alternative Loki's as well? Or is Loki not bound to time, since he's a god?

If there is a time variant authority that goes after Loki, why didn't they go after Thanos. He jumped from the past to the future and changed the timeline where he did the snap. This would mean that the snap and battle of Wakanda never happened.

Comics - probably not. These guys are just on a higher level, plus outside of time and space. Not sure about mcu because I don't know if the one we just saw in Loki is the same one we saw in the 616 comic books

I wonder if they also do mutilverses not just time cause the set up is based off of 1950’s tech but deals with quatom computing and I think we might see the avengers get pulled in here or talked about and this might last longer than wandavision and we really should see more of white vision

With the new LOKI movie coming up. Who cares about the continuing disaster of Darth Kennedy at Lucasfilm. That story line has gone on for long enough. I for one, is ready to see it ended. The new LOKI movie looks to be a lot of harmless fun.

I loved marvel, but after end game "and just the spider man movies cause they cute" im pretty done with it. Watching anything more just kills the emotional greatness of infinity war and end game.
