What season did you guys start playing League? And what are your favorite things that don't exist in the game anymore? I started playing when Yasuo was released and I miss the genuine excitement of seeing new champs released that weren't immediately controversial or "200 years".

Playing on snowy summoners rift is one of the most nostalgic experiences I can Think of.

Twisted treeline had 2 maps, the one you showed was the "newer" one. The old one had a dragon as a main objective, red/blue buff, many more bushes and overall a more "creepy" aesthetic.

old champ select was more than disgusting and its baffling to this day that it took them so long to change it, but one brightside of such system was that in order to climb you had to know all 5 roles. also, the champ select music was goated and it made you hype af. also one thing missing from the video is random matches showed in main client from either ranked or arams that you could spectate if you wanted. a lot of stuff didnt get mentioned so i think part 2 would be neat.

Also, idk it was mentioned, but in old league version you were placed in titled division like ''veigar's shadows or '' morgana's disciples''.. or something like that... if i remember correctly.

I started playing in 2010. When Kennen was released. And back then my graphics were messed up. So I spent a pretty long time playing on a fully black screen. The only visible things were champions, minions, structures (turrets, fountain, Nexus, etc), jungle camps (when you were close to them) and bushes. Everything that was "not interactive" with the player was black. I had no idea of the map´s shape. And I had no idea of the "Fog of War" either. Was a nice surprise to see the map after a time.

Damn. I recently came back to that game after solid 7 years break. I miss those fast paced Twisted Treeline games and utter chaos of Fun Gamemodes.

If you don't remember the terror of AP Sion mid with full AP run pages and 3 rings start or crazy GP5 toplane, then we are not the same scrubs. Also amazed, we are not talking about atma impaler meta.

3v3 was awesome, I remember only playing ranked on twisted treeline back in the day because games were shorter and people were way nicer for whatever reason.

I started playing back in 2010 around when Malzahar was released. At some point I had purchased every single rune in the game to make some amazingly troll runepages, I think you could get +81 attack damage/ lvl 18 (scaling). Those were the good old days. Whenever Kalista was locked in, I'd insta lock Taric for his point an click stun to ruin her day. But I was definitely an old school Aatrox, Shen and Swain enjoyer. What a wild ride League has been over the years.

Maaaan, the days of playing Twisted Treeline Ranked with my guys or joining custom lobbies for a fun round of Hide and Seek. I'm getting real old here. Thanks for the nostalgic trip tho!

Of the many things I miss, I still have the old champion select music for ranked solo queue in my memory forever. It felt so fitting and always gave me the eagerness to play before ranked matches started.

I miss all this. Including the old rune/mastery pages. oh my gosh back then the game felt so fun and simple... now i get on and i just suffer in misery just so i can play the only couple champions i fell inlove with and cant stop playing. Games a complete junkyard full of useless new champions, useless new items, a garbage new currency system, dumb lock boxes, and just all around unfun gameplay. team fights last like 5 seconds due to everyone just being fried into oblivion depending on the items a "Broken" champion can have on them where as back then you could have a game go on for hours just being back and fourth due to people out playing the other team every other fight. What a blast and so many memories i miss more then anything :c

I used to play old Poppy support and it was a guaranteed kill every time you hit 6, just tower dive with your adc and ult their support. I thought she was busted back then 😂

Such a wholesome video I do miss the old content. I stopped playing when league focuses on ability rework, champions rework, items removal, less unique events, not returning the old modes I like doom bots it's nice to take a break from PvP for one in a while. I don't know what's league now but I think the game is now cluttered with huge visuals affects and probably obnoxious skins that don't fit on the champions.

Runes and quints with the old mastery system offered so many alternative ways to play the game. The unlocks were well worth it.

I quit in Season 6 and will never come back. All of these things are my current understanding / memories of what League is like and I'm glad about that. What a great time it was.

Also, that was the latest Twisted treeline, there was another older map before that one.

Old Aatrox was my first lvl 7 champion. I was gold/plat at that time and absolutely no one in ranked new how to play against him since very few people were playing him. I have not once played Aatrox since the rework.

I will forever have nightmares about the twisted treeline spider xD that thing was such a menace you'd need to make a pact with the enemy team to 6 man it and just bank on winning the smite duel

I've been playing since season 3, and it's true that Riot once focused on a good, memorable experience, they wanted players to come back because it was fun to play, great events, you wanted to play those events just because of the mood they set. Compare the events now - it's a stupid point farm for skins, 0 fun, soullessly made, everything is aimed at making money.

I've played this game since season 1, and what I miss the most are the old specialization trees and runes (quints etc) the game felt more cusotomizable back then. Prolly also harder to balance but at least people had fun playing it instead of going into each game with a negative mindset 💀

I am a old Poppy Main. Sheen into TrinityForce, phantomdancer, IE and bloodthirster was soo much fun. More fun was seeing the enemys rage about beeing oneshotted 😂😂❤

Old aatrox narrative was the wildest shit ever to me. Legit been playing since his release, NEVER saw his ass again after that one time he was meta in his release year, and I was playing 10 solo q games a day for 5 years straight.

Man, I miss old Aatrox. He FINALLY got a rune he was good with and he started to see daylight... Then his rework came out. And he was a carbon copy of Riven.

The twisted tree line you showed was the final version. It looked waayyyy different when it was first released. Vilemaw wasn’t a thing for a few years, and the jungle had some spawn points above the top lane. Plus, no altars to capture

Doombots for me was the PEAK of League of Legends gamemode, the amount of chaos and crazy shit happening when bots teamed up is so funny and fun. It's sad that this will probably never return and new players never get to experience this wonderful mayhem.

To all my fellow jugglers out there: smite used to scale with your level meaning hecarim and shack might always have a better smite. However, it wasn’t displayed on your screen so you either manually checked it or just learned what it felt like 😅

NGL... the old rune page mechanics was the reason i shifted from DOTA and old DOTA2 to League.. it added layers to the game. you first few levels are not only just defined by which characters you are using and its items bought, but also along with the stats from your rune page and masteries.

Twisted Treeline was my home in this game. Played it a lot when I was in my preteens, whenever I went to my cousin's place(A rarity). Once I had more constant internet access I decided to say "Fuck it why not" and play League again when I was around 15, and TT was still my home, in spite of its changes since the three years that had passed. I liked it more than Summoner's Rift still. I was kind of consistent on there and even played Rank sometimes. But I noticed less and less people playing the mode. Eventually, after some years it reached a point where I was seeing the same names time and time again. I made friends with some of these players. It reached a point for us where we'd simply just fuck around or shoot the shit. Then, Twisted Treeline was taken away. I tried to find a substitute in ARAM, those rotating gamemodes, and Summoner's Rift, but alas, nothing could match TT for me. Eventually I uninstalled in February this year. I hadn't played in several months by that point except for one time where I got absolutely wasted and apparently ranted about how I'd fuck Gwen in her doll form or something, I don't remember. Regardless, I'm still friends with some of these guys from the Twisted Treeline days. They made my experience with it far better and I thank them for it.

Dominion also had a fun community driven game mode called hide and seek. I forget the exact rules, but two teams. Two (or one) seekers and a full team of seekers. It was fun as hell.

Playing a life service game like this with updates completly changing the game or straight up removing content, it feels like the game you've grown to love is slowly fading away.

Talking about dominion, but forgetting about hide and seek ? That custom mode was even better than playing dominion itself

5:40 there was an even older version of TTL where there was jungle above the Toplane aswell You forgot to mention the theme it once used - "Welcome to League of Legends - Theme" it should have always stayed the theme of this game, aswell as the draft pick version "Classic Summoner's Rift Champion Select - Draft Pick".

i remember when they announced urf as a champion and said his spotlight comes 1st april (2011). then that day they said urf died to warwick and the spotlight is canceled and released the urf skin for 5000 rp (discounted to 50rp). people were so confused for a while. where gromp is now there used to be a ghost of urf. but it only showed up sometimes.

I remember in Season 2, when a guy had a skin on a Champion, everyone was scared of him, because the mindset was " Oh Sh*t, he has a skin, he must be a pro" because you had to spend money for every skin 😅

Everyone always forgets about Ascension on the crystal scar, that shit was so fun

I miss OG Poppy. Given a bit of lane help, that was one fun AP assassin. Run into enemy team from the back, take out a target (or 2) while near literally immortal, then leg it into the jungle. Farming was hell though. I also want doom bots back. Loved the chaos of that. Also, wdym, Rabadon's Deathcap and Zhonya's Hourglass? Try Zhonya's Ring.

The one advantage of no role selection, was WAY FASTER QUEUE TIMES!!!!

my first league game i was 7 years old and my brother taught me that Rammus is a tank so you need to tank damage for your team, so I would run under enemy tower and watch my health bar drop because i thought that was what i was supposed to do... flash forward years later i had my IGN as "Best Yasuo EUW" ( I was a hardstuck gold 12 year old) and hitting a free challenger or masters on twisted treeline with malph yas combo was the good ol days

Champ select wasn’t random. It was MMR based. I remember when I hit lvl 30, I jumped straight to ranked. I was so bad and my MMR so low that i was last pick EVERY TIME, forced to main support. I mained Nunu, which was the only champion i played, although i didn’t understand why Q didn’t work on champions. I gained 3 LP per win and even if i won 7 games in a row (21 LP total), i would lose all my LP after 1 loss, straight back to Bronce V 0 LP. Those were the good times

The changing map for seasons needs to come back. It's just so uniquely cool! I wish. Also, I wish for summoners Rift skins for those of us that preferred the old art style.

One thing I miss, because it was so great for beginner, is a Feature in CHamp select. You could hover over a Champion and get shown a short description for all the Abilitys, the Champ had.

I miss building rune pages, that was so fun and made the game have so much more interesting.

Also they removed DFG because Riot has one goal and one goal only…. No one person, no matter how much you want to win, can solo carry a game. Historically, they took a game of Solo Que force you to play a team based game, adjusted match making, and got rid of MMR.

Double PD sion with BT or full ap DFG sion was nuts too

Honorable mention: DARK STAR THRESH MODE Some of the most fun I ever had in the game. Not intense fighting, just some arcade like gameplay with a lot of precision. And the worst thing is, riot could just bring it back with no effort, it's not patch dependend, it doesn't need buffs or nerfs, it was just fair und fun like it was.. BRING IT BACK

Yeah, I remember all of you mentioned. About Dominion: too bad it has been deleted. It was fun game withouth harass or flame, just we don't have time to flame anyone coz it was speedy asf. About Twisted Treeline: I like it. On start it wasn't Vilemav but ordinary drake, they replaced them with Vilemav. He was so strong just after his release that need to be nerfed, seriously, you need 5 ppl to hold him down. Doom Bots: oh fug, I loved it. Something special, something new, something fresh And I give something from me: - Shen, Akali and Kennen had unique passive which didn't do anything exept just be. It was called "this unit is dammed Ninja" or something - At least 2 summonner spells: one revieved you immadietly, second one gived you huge boost to AP and AD. I remember took them on Karthus: when I died, immadietly respawn himself, turn second spell to gain powerfull buff and then R and booom - Skins with sunglasses took -1 dmg from Leona and Lux - Twisted Fate, LeBlanc and Nidalee were so fking OP so ppl banned them if don't play them - Old Nunu
