If you go into your shortlist there's a checkbox (that's on by default) that says 'Keep scout reports up to date'. You'll want to untick that as it re-scouts players every 3 months. That'll be where your scouting budget is going.

Great video Kev. On the scouting budget, if there's anyone in your shortlist, there is a button for keeping those reports up to date which means they keep being scouted. That's where the money could be going

Having players on shortlist for any reason, seem to be on automacially "keep up to date with by scouting"'ish, don't know if thats what you encounter

The scouting budget may be drained by your shortlist(s). If you have ticked the box saying keep up with the players, then they'll keep scouting the players on the shortlist. Tick that off and that may solve the problem

For the tier you're in I would probably have a first team squad of 15 max and use youth if needed to control spending. So you're basically being forced to behave financially frugal. lol

You should try to sign London based players as it’s very unrealistic that someone playing and working in Northern Ireland will move to London for £25 and no job

Not worth bothering with signing youth intakes at this level. Most will never develop at all and you're likely to outgrow any that do. Waste of wage budget.

I am enjoying the content a lot, very nice added pieces from your trip to Wembley. However as a critic comment I wanted to say that your economic managment is very poor. When your total wage budget is £783, paying £50 for a mediocre goalkeeper is bonkers.. or £20 for a bunch of youngsters that won't get playtime. You need to choose better to who you are giving contracts, even more when the club finances are quite bad.

I’m the football manager, not the finance director. My job is to win football matches and work to the budgets I’m set. The club balance is irrelevant to my job.
