the truth is that in this day and age, being a virgin at age 29 ISN'T normal. The vast majority of Americans lose their virginity at some point in high school. I have several religious friends who stayed virgins until they got married, but ended up actually getting married between 21-25. It is also not biologically normal. A woman's peak sexual maturity is from puberty to about 30-35. I'm just talking about the health of the eggs for procreation here. Women have sex throughout their lives, but the biological drive to have children is strongest at about her age +/- 5-7 years. Being a virgin at 29 is not 'odd' in the sense that it is strange behavior. You have to respect her decision. It is just not 'normal' in that you won't find many 29 year old women who have never had sex in their lives.

Let's you and I both do a survey... say, 1,000 people between the ages of 18 and 40, each of a standard population. I am willing to bet my entire net worth that the overwhelming majority will say they have had sex, i.e. they are not virgins. Bump it up from 25-40 and the number of vrigins will be extremely low. It is not 'normal' to be a virgin at 29 by the definition of the word normal itself. Secondly, there are dozens of dozens of peer-reviewed studies that have studied male/female peak sexuality trends. The internet is funny when someone can just say 'the sky is green' out of the blue and just act as though they are correct. Pull up a database and do some research before just throwing out fallacies for anyone out there to read. Lastly, I think semantics is keeping you from understanding what I meant. What I mean by 'normal' is merely that it is not typical of the majority. I think what you think I mean is that I am saying it's abnormal behavior... which I did NOT mean. It's her choice to be a virgin and her choice alone. But to claim it's representative of 'normal' is incorrect.

Are you being serious? She needs to talk about it because she's a public figure who is blessed enough to have such an impact on society, young women and young girls. She taught me and others it's ok to be virgins in a society that says it is not. There's so much pressure to have sex because everyone in hollywood, in the media or in general is supposedly doing it so for her to be so brave about it is phenomenal. Even though people laugh and make jokes about her decision, she doesn't pay them any attention so it's not like she's boasting if it only brings her insults and humiliating jokes.
