When the snow comes my horses are spoiled they can stay in their stables or go to pasture. Me and my horses are growing old together..each are blanketed, extra grain and an apple. Love your videos. What beautiful horses.😊😊

Depending on the breed horses can withstand temps to about -6 if they are standing still, if they are able to run around -30 . The danger isn't the cold as the terrain when things get cold they can get icy and brittle this is when problems arise. Horses prefer cold weather to heat hot days with the sun beating down can be fatal to any horse. I have ridden a thoroughbred along a beach in -22 he loved i was the icicle !!

Hi John. I believe horses can work in very low temps. Afterall, they fought many a battle over the centuries, in many climates. I am sure that our beautiful mounts are treated well and I am sure they are not pushed beyond their limits.

Morning John, my boy does that same thing..that is how i can tell he is relaxed, calm and happy...very healthy..say warm...grew up in ontario canada until i was 34, moved to florida and i am living on the Big Bend west coast...but it cold here this morning about 44 degrees outside......my boy loves this cool weather no bugs or flies to bother him....

With the serge coat covering the back of the horse, they would be fine unless they started to shiver in the front. And the temperature is being monitored. So it depends on what the Corporal of the Horse decides is too cold for the horse and Guardsman. But usually it's between -20 to - 25C, because of the windchill factor. So there you go, John. There IS beautiful architecture in the US. Of, course it isn't as old as yours, but there are many lovely churches, libraries, homes, bridges, universities, and government buildings. That lady must have lived in rural area and had never left home, except to visit Walmart😊

The US does have some nice architecture, but England’s has the beauty of being very old and you have the history to go with them. Because the US is such a new country everything is considered “disposable”. And they don’t think twice about tearing things down to build something new and shiny…like another Walmart! 😂

I grew up in New Orleans ,Louisiana have buildings that range from French old world architecture to buildings very much like the hotel across the street from the horse guards, The Horse Guards itself looks very French Quarter . The French Quarter has the Saint Louis Cathedral that looks just like ones you see in Europe. New York and Chicago is also full of fine architecture .

San Francisco has magnificent buildings , their City Hall & it's old lights are something special, of course, all the .ore revered because it survived the huge 1912 earthquake 😮

😂😂😂 only Walmart's in the US. Apparently that person hasn't left their area. In the oldest areas of the states like Mass., PA, even Delaware there is gorgeous architecture in the historic areas.

There are some beautiful buildings in the U.S., but nothing like you lucky folks who live in the UK enjoy.

Even the police put their hand in the horses mouth what idiots.

Watching your video tonight here in the USA. I have to say we absolutely love the architecture in the UK . We really don’t have anything like it here where I live. I live in a fairly small town in West Virginia where they tend to tear everything down instead of renovating.

There is the Biltmore in North Carolina, Plantations in Louisiana, and more.

The architecture in America varies greatly. We have some grand examples in the larger cities (New York, Chicago, LA etc..). There are not many in the more rural areas. I think what we Americans are in awe of is the old structures, castles and such. America is fairly new in comparison. Our 'old ' structures are still very modern than in London. New sub. You get used to the cold. I don't even bother with a jacket unless it drops below 0°C (unless I'm going to be outside for more than half hour) or the wind chill is insane.

The closest structure near me that looks like what you have there is about an hour's drive. One of your old bridges is in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

We have a lot of Dollar Stores in the U.S. as well as Walmarts . 😂😂😂 But seriously, there is some beautiful architecture here.

Now I can see the snow coming down. It’s not very heavy but it’s there. It’s not like where I live in the US. I got a find a foot of snow Sunday like Zuzu’s petals. She just lives up the road from me she got more snow than I did, but yes, it’s snowing and I can see it😂❤❤❤

18 degrees without shelter.

We do have some wonderful architecture, but in some areas there are cities with less than pretty buildings. I recently went to Iowa and they have some absolutely beautiful homes about commercial buildings built in the 1800's. What you have is a city full of beautiful architecture from further back, of course it is older there than here. Also amazing place like in Greece, Rome, Egypt, ancient place to marvle at.

London has the best historical buildings in a city,I have been many times but still have not seen half ,Australia is only a couple hundred years old so we dont have the beautiful old buildings that you guys do,I love London's history

No matter how cold tho, I wouldn't wear a balaclava onto a military barracks. I had a friend who decided that he was going to go onto one of the local military bases wearing a balaclava. He got about 7 or 8 metres in before he was collected by MPs. They didn't think it was funny. I swear those tourists materialise thru a portal from out of nowhere!!

There are magnificent buildings in our nation's capital; the Jefferson memorial for one. Every state has some buildings or memorials showing amazing architecture. ALSO, nice to see the Guards and horses not being besieged by tourists. Love your informative videos!

Wow. At my college in the horse program we rode until the barn temp registered 0 Farenheit (-17.78). The outside temp had to be below that to make the barn that cold. And riding was optional. Horses can handle much colder temps than their human caretakers.

Our buildings are not as old , but we have some very beautiful architecture in US

NY does have older buildings, and there are a few other cities that have salvaged their older buildings. However, for the most part, they get old and are torn down and replaced by some ugly things of glass and steel that are not nearly as lovely. Why? It's too costly to repair older buildings. At the moment it is 9AM and it is 35F here in middle Tennessee, we are not expecting snow, but rain is a possibility later in the week. Other parts of the country have snow already and are expecting more this week. As for the no head coverings, in some places hats are just not done, there are areas where hats are a must, not where I am, although I have been known to don one now and again. Mind you, I have very short hair so I usually cover when it is cold. Thanks, John, I needed something to take my mind off things, you always manage to do that for me. LOL

this is de ja vu. last time it snowed there and in Australia it was 36 degrees with bush fires caused by arson. same scenario today, with 36 degree heat and two bush fires. . phew, but glad not freezing. 😮

John, we don't have anything like this in the US, BUT.... there is the White House along with Arlington National Cemetery's Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. It's a HUGE beautiful area. There Washington Monument, Lincoln memorial, Jefferson memorial, the War memorials, and then Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on the West Coast. Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
