Are you considering Islam but are unsure about certain concepts? Are you an activist, Imam or community leader who is unsure about how to handle questions related to science, philosophy, the Islamic moral code, etc.?

There is a very big mistake that you are making in your assumptions when you compare marxism and Islam. The Islam that we know about, its understanding through the texts of fiqh and all, resides in a pre-industrial society. What is done in most of the Islamic critiques of marxism is that they try to super impose both of them to make a comparison. Without the basic consideration to the different societal formulations these theories operate in. This is the reason that most of the Islamic criticism of Marxism simply falls flat. Marxism has problems rooted in the basic assumptions of the framework, but they are not the ones Muslims talk about.

The only true belief that is true about itself claims is Islam. All other believes there’s this hypocrisy which abuses others and there’s no rule which punishes or condemns such acts. In islam the commandments that encompasses islam also includes protection of other non hostile (Dimi) Other systems are subject to change(amendment) and abuse would replace any previous protection laws. While islam never changes!

cool discussion, tho I think u missed sth crucial, the Marxist theory of history and its implications. its relation to the myth of linear progress, the Christian genealogy of it, its colonial underpinnings, etc also, how do Marxists warrant their belief of the need for a just communist society ( can also be read 'kingdom of god' /paradise) or the moral tone of marxism, in Nietzschean terms, why carry god's corpse after his death?

also, many more to add, for eg the determinist nature of historical materialism and its relation to moral accountability [ if all forces inevitably lead to communism are any of these forces bad, can't the communist state always use this belief to justify any and all of its actions ] or how their obsession with class struggle misses many other kinds of political relations between other kinds of communities, and this as an explanation for oppression by the communist states realized in many parts of the world historically.

"England, it is true, in causing a social revolution in Hindustan, was actuated only by the vilest interests and was stupid in her manner of enforcing them. But that is not the question. The question is, can mankind fulfill its destiny without a fundamental revolution in the social state of Asia? If not, whatever may have been the crimes of England, she was the unconscious tool of history in bringing about that revolution." Marx, 1853 . definitely not euro-centric, innit? @@afhamahammed9662 I would say the entire doctrine of orthodox marxism is grounded on eurocentrism, seeing that Marx accentuated the necessity of industrial development as a requisite for a proleterian revolution. This in itself doesn't necessarily have to be eurocentric, however its clear that Marxism was never intended beyond the world of industrial countries, coincidentally coinciding with western Europe exclusively. It is not suprising Lenin and Mao had to significantly revise marxism in order to adjust it to the material conditions of their countries.

I do find it a bit of an insult to Islam when someone "Compares" "systems" of "Islam" with "Marxism". In it's foundation Marxism is Atheist, Pagan Philosophy (foundations in Germanic modern philosophies and understanding of humans) with an economic model. The "Islamic" way on which is for the believers is built provides a means to worship Allah. The objectives of Islam are totally diffrent to that of the others. That's my personal feeling. I think the capitalist and communists should argue amongst themselves islam should be above this and never compared at those levels because it's in a paradigm (non-competing) in its own. Even comparisons In details I personally think can't be made .. for example "opression" defined by marx would be different for that of a Muslim. Another exmple debating allocation of land mulsims wouldnfurst have to look at sharia to see if is legal and maybe it isnt therefore is marx right? MARX in theory would be richer as he could build on the land? The arguments themselves are nonsensical, and what are we defending exact. I think leading a godless, pagan atheist life full of materialism is oppressive. An islamic government could incorporate elements of all systems economically depending on fiqh and evolution of policy.

The thing is, those two (at least Marxism) does compare itself to Islam in that it is against all religions. Thus, it is imperative to understand the idea to be able to communicate Islam to those who follow ideas like Communism. Islam has does this not just with Communism but with Hinduism, Jainism, Budhhism, Christianity and whatever else ideology occupied people's minds that were opposed to Islam.
@BobCat007
@BobCat007 2 жыл бұрын
@Last Word Marxism is not a religion. Marxist wouldn't say they are explicitly opposed to Islam. Sikhism,Hinduism, bhudist and jainist etc. And the rest are built on the foundations of fundamental tenets. These briefly are reincarnation, moksha, cycles, sanskrit books, meditation and enlightenment. Understanding these tenets and their manifestations in the world philosophies is more important. As even Liberal democracy is based on these with Greek pagan neoplatoinic ideas. In my understanding neoplatonism and Hinduism form the basis of all manifestations of shirk/idolatry. And ALLAH knows best. I can go further and say the real issue with Marxism is how it views man .. I.e. just an animal, based again on pagan atheist philosophies. My issue is using Islam as an economic model system .. drawing many a time references from capitalism ironically to refute it. I understand your point though of a need to understand it.

@@BobCat007 yes marxist would say they are opposed to Islam because Marxism is at odds with Islam in its vision for society. In terms of it not being a religion, thats debatable but also irrelevant because atheism is not a religion either but Muslims regularly engage in debate with them.

'Pornography' is defined in the English language as an indecent form of art or literature. Islam also views it as indecent and terms it as 'Faahisha' and in the Holy Qur'an. 'Faahishah' is translated as "shameful deeds". this is because it refers to every bad deed that is noticeably ugly to human beings. Watching sexual content is 'haram' in Islam ; Therefore, the punishment for sexual assault in Islam ; Punishments include, 'stoning to death', 'amputation of limbs', 'whipping', 'imprisonment', and fines. Thus, a confession by the 'rapist' or testimony from four Muslim adult males. witnesses constitutes proof for the more severe punishments. And so, these standards are so strict that no 'rapist' has yet been punished, this severely. Foe instance : Abusive ( sexual child abuse ) behaviour towards a children, is forbidden.This is because it contradicts the objectives of Islamic jurisprudence, meaning- specifically the preservation (modesty) of life and reason (intellect), of the individual being's in adult life. As a result and a piece of sound advice for Healing can be found in the holy Qur'an. The (Scriptures) validate the injunctions of righteousness and kind treatment, is strongly advised. To assist in healing from such childhood trauma. Considering, cruelty to children and any act of 'sexual violence' is not a mistake, but rather a 'heart breaking' crime committed against another. As innocent individuals, especially children experience detrimental effects later on in life because of this abuse. And for these children life is an inalienable one. As their rights are sadly violated, at a young tender age. And they sadly realise as they grow older that they have, a distorted view and overbearing misconception at times about the idea of sexual love. Healing in the Holy Qur'an In Islam (sexual abuse) is an act of oppression. And the blessed Prophet RAS (pbuh). told his Companions to help their brother who commits oppression. This is achieved, by stopping him (not by indulging him). What Allah(swt) said about 'sexual abuse' ! Accordingly, sexual violation is regarded as a violation of moral and divine law. Islam divides claims of sexual violation into 'divine rights' (huquq Allah), and 'interpersonal rights' (huquq al-'ibad): the former requiring divine punishment. (hadd penalties) and the latter belonging to the more flexible human realm. ...

Islamic Economics as : Capitalism or Communism ! Equally important both Capitalism and Communism, as neither are completely, capitalistic nor completely socialistic. To elaborate both seem to be a fair, balance between the two in which emphases that both "individual economic, freedom and the need to serve the common good." In addition to this others, point out that Islam has an inherently capitalist nature. And argue that respect for private property is the foundation of capitalism, in Islam. Mainly because of the historical fact that the Prophet Muhammad, RAS (pbuh) : was an Entrepreneur, a Merchant. In controversy : conflicting opinions stated by : Karl Marx's Beliefs of Religion. Marxism ban's religion. So, Marxists are in favour of religious freedom, but argue; that people will decide for themselves to abandon religion in, a socialist society. This implies that Marxists, do not prevent religious workers joining the, so called : fight for socialism. But rather they do not have a neutral position, (as opposed to the latter : Capitalism & Communism ) on religion within, their revolutionary organisation. For instance : The Revolutionary Organisation Companionship to Atheism. and Philosophy. And so, is recognised as a Religion in which the Marxists, believed that philosophy is famously atheistic. Acknowledged both by Christian and non-Christian, Marxist scholars. Who have insisted that Marxist philosophy (and the philosophy of Marx, and Engels); is significantly different from one another and so, this difference needs recognition. Furthermore : Karl Marx, was against religion. This is because in his opinion on, Religion was perturbed as social control. As he expressed this in the titled, Contribution to the Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right. Where he, famously, called Religion "the opium of the people." This implied that Religion was not only used by those in power to oppress, the workers. But more so, made them feel better about being oppressed. When they couldn't afford real opium. Thus, this role best suit closers, who are hungry to make commissions such as : Karl Marx, (Marxism), who did not believe in God. And so, evidently : Karl Marx was a staunch opponent of supernatural belief, yet he, neither did he embrace agnosticism as the position of claiming no, answer to the question whether or not God exists. But rather, Marx argued; that it was incoherent and pointless even to pose that very question. In conclusion : Marxism affected Religion by : Karl Marx's who believed that Religion, like an opiate, gave a sense of security, and salvation of something yet to come. However, he claimed this was all an, illusion. And he felt that Religion taught individuals to focus on otherworldly, concerns and not on the immediate poverty they were suffering. Islamic Marxism attempts to apply Marxist economy, within the political, arena and social teachings environment within an Islamic framework. But in controversy the traditional forms of Marxism; are some, what 'anti-religious' and support atheism. Therefore it has led many, Muslims to reject Marxism. ...
