2:23 love that crazy ending timpani section with one player rapidly playing his 4 drums and the other player hitting the E on his 32 inch drum.

Wow you really did a wonderful job ,I just really excited that you finally made it , and I'm really thanks for adding more Instruments(Timpani 1,2,Harp,Strings, bassoon,trombone) and percussion(cymbals, tambourine,bass drum,snare, xylophone). :D Keep up ur great work LPO!

Awesome. The rythms of The Planets are very intriguing to me for some reason. I try to sing along sometimes but I never get the rythm from Mercury right, the one that is for example played by the timpani from IX. The rythms from Mars however are quite easy for some reaseon, even if they are in 5/4. It's a fascinating suite. I also like there is a heckelpone in it that you can hear if you now where it appears.

How many percussionists do you use beside 2 timpani for The Planets? Is 2 enough or do you need more?

There's a number of ways, but it's often agreed that the orchestration calls for at least 3 players. Here's my favorite way to divide up the parts, courtesy of The Percussion Room: Player 1: Glockenspiel, Xylophone, Chimes, Tam-Tam, Bass Drum (Mars Only) Player 2: Snare Drum (Mars), Tambourine, Triangle, Bass Drum (All Except: Mars, Jupiter: Reh. 17-Presto) Player 3: Snare Drum (Uranus), Crash Cymbals, Suspended Cymbal, Bass Drum (Jupiter: Reh. 17-Presto)
