I played the same in a contest in the 1970's and shot for a one score by performing without the chart. My pianist was new for me, and way better than what I had practiced with, she played her part so nice that I started listing to her and got lost. But the adjudicators gave me a 2 anyway.

This reminds me of playing the tuba in school. You’re sound is so beautiful. I’ve always loved the French horn. I smelled like brass all day. I can still taste it.

My orchestra is playing this at the moment. I play the oboe, so am only in a bit of it. The french horn player is excellent! He is only 16 but very talented.
