I'm not usually a fan of the whitewashed furniture but this little unit looks so sweet - a little bit rustic but very cute. Making the knobs & handles gold really set it off. Nice job!

Was surprised you didn’t bleach the top to get rid of the stains. Other wise it looks great.

I thought about it, but the dark areas were very deep, and I haven't had the greatest luck with bleach, in the past. Thanks so much for your comments!

Is the stain old? It’s very splotchy. I am also surprised you didn’t bleach the top first to get rid of the stains. It looks nice but if you are going to sell it I would have thought you would have done a little extra.

With the top, I ultimately decided to let the old flaws show through. Otherwise, if I could go back to the beginning, I would have sanded everything more before applying the paint wash. Thanks so much for your comments!
