Was hoping for a restoration of an antique. Am not a fan of deco. Have had so much of it throwing away the past. I see many enjoy your work and had it not been an antique I too would have enjoyed.

I briefly had that thought. But the original gold pulls are so pretty, and the original wood knob is very much the same shape. So, I decided to keep them all.

I too was disappointed in what was uncovered after all of your careful work removing the finish! However, you saved this piece of furniture from the landfill by adding beauty where it did not naturally occur. You were so pre use with the stencils - I appreciate she that. I also agree with @colleenkidwell5820 about the dots. Brava!

Was this piece an original wash stand ? It looks old but with all the repairs you did on it which were needed most of you kept the original wood .I know on the bottom you did ad some new wood pieces they were needed . The green with the white stencil looks great. Prayers 🙏 and Love,🤟 From Oklahoma

Really nice result! We have a lot of older pieces which tend to be dark. I like this light feel. Our house does well with dark as we have a lot of windows and fairly big rooms but we have one room we will be redoing…it has a lot of windows there too but it’s the south side so often we have them covered in summer. It would definitely handle some similar light treatment. So keeping that in mind! I like that it was a wash that showed the grain patterns! ❤

Thank you for sharing! I've got many wood types in my home, from light to dark. It really does depend on the light level in a room as to what woods will work.

I really like the new look. I don't usually really like the paint wash look, but I do think it toned this piece and made it very beautiful.

This is a vintage piece. I wouldn't have white-washed it. It looked OK and the setting that you put it in; but, restoring the natural wood finish would look better.

You don't say a word while working on this bench . It had a few flaws that could be repaired. Why did you even try to redo it. Did you not like the color . We know nothing about the piece .
