2 ай бұрынIn this film, you will see one day in the life of 92-year-old grandmother Vasilyna, who lives on the top of a mountain far from civilization, at an altitude of 1,500 meters. This hut was built for convenient grazing of sheep in 1824, over time the large family disappeared and the grandmother was left to live in such difficult conditions to which she had become accustomed throughout her life.

I grew up on a 4rth generation wheat farm in Idaho USA. My great grandparents were Swedish pioneers that moved to Idaho Territory. They moved here when Indians still dug camas roots on their farm. I live on my own small farmstead in a logging forest. My husband is a retired logger. I would love to visit Hutsel Carpathia Mountains in Ukraine because it's primitive and hasn't been modernized. I hope it stays that way.

@@coyotedust I grew up in Canada, my grandparents and father emigrated to Canada from Lithuania after the War. My grandfather was a tomato farmer, we also had cows and chickens, it was a small farmstead on the outskirts of the City I still live in. This wonderful woman in the video very much reminds me of my own grandmother, who passed away at age 100. She too made delicious borsch. I too would love to visit Hutsel Carpathia Mountains in Ukraine. The primitive way of life was a good way to live.

Bless this young man for the food he brought, fetching water, cutting firewood, whatever he did on the roof, giving her joy by cooking for him, listening to her traditional song & the lovely hug farewell. I am nine years younger than this lady and yes she has a hard life but I did notice how she brightened up after her grandsons visit. Lonliness is the scourge of old age. The lady is remarkable at carrying on with her life even though at times she might feel her age and it becomes hard to take care of yourself especially in such bitterly cold weather. She truly is amazing and I wish her every happiness in her life and long may the visits continue from her loved ones.❤❤❤

I didn't understand a single word being said. What I did understand was the love of a grandmother and grandchild. Молодой человек приехал, показал ,рассказа,лропиарился и ушел. Какая помощь бабушке? Дом подремонтировал,дрова расколол, продукты привез - ничего такого не было. Она такая старенькая ,кормила его борщом, вторым, это очень тяжело в возрасте и в таких условиях. ПИАРЩИКИ!!! Путещественники- халявщики.

Vraiment très touchant de voir cette grand mère vivre dans des conditions difficiles. Il y a des personnes qui ne supporteraient pas une semaine et elle cela fait des décennies qu'elle vit dans cet endroit magnifique mais si rude. Quelle belle leçon d'humilité ! ❤

@@mariedumont4332 Personnellement, j'aime cette vie, cette vie les a tous gardés en bonne santé, elle a 90 ans et vit toujours seule et parvient à le faire, cet endroit garde votre esprit jeune et l'activité vous maintient en forme, si vous faites attention à la plupart des Russes ou banlieues sont en excellente santé et en forme grâce à leur alimentation et leurs activités saines ☺️♥️♥️👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

This is truly fascinating. I was brought up on an island on the west coast of Scotland. We had no running water or electricity. We used paraffin lamps and dry toilets. We walked wherever we had to go and to school. Boats were used to carry the heavy stuff. But what we had was wonderful community spirit. I had a very happy childhood❤❤❤

The surroundings are majestic and peaceful. She has to take many naps but seems overall in good health for her age. I doubt she could be happier off that mountain. She has weathered time and much nonsense being there with a simple life. I hope her grandson is making notes of her stories. I'm elderly and have always enjoyed the elders telling stories. They are our greatest teachers. This video is a blessing. Thank you.

My parents have shunned my attempts to help them and have blamed me for some of their poor choices. They had difficult lives yet refuse to embrace how their kids could help them. Many ppl are broken, sometimes beyond repair. Despite others caring about them. So we shouldnt judge everyone the same.

I would trade the hustle and bustle and punching a time clock for their life of easy self sufficiency, working in fresh air, wonderful food without chemicals, curative solitude. More visits to enjoy her company is no doubt lacking, and the elderly should be given much more consideration, respect, and love . Churches should adorn her with attention .

No doubt she is still alive because of her living where she does! Hard work keeps both the body and soul in better health. My grandmother was born in 1878. Yes my grandmother, not great grandmother. She had 11 children. One died at age 2 but she worked hard and was very poor. My dad said he walked 4 miles in the summer to pick strawberries for a penny a box and they were quart boxes. She lived to be 96 and both my parents lived to be 91. Most of her children were in their 90's when they died! She is very blessed to be far away from the evil world the rest of us live in!

Their is an old saying excuse the English it goes ain't that the truth. The problem we are faced with today when your out in civilization they are not all civilized any more. I live alone on a mountain by a lake off by my self love it. I have all the chores that grama does etc, love my life, piece, quiet, piece of mind, no drama, doesn't get any better than that. The one wonderful thing I cherish is I don't depend on others for my happiness. The very reason I am happy not disappointed. I put my trust in my heavenly father threw his son Jesus, he will be there, we can trust him for piece of mind, contentment, happiness with in our self's in his son Jesus name Amen.
