Kudos to the yard workers at the Walvis Bay Fish Factories!! Without their help, it would have been a tough challenge to get to the injured animal. The seal had three plastic straps wrapped around it. None of the straps were cutting into his skin yet, and he lived to see another day. Thank you to everyone who made this rescue possible!

Thank you for the work you do! Wish nations worldwide would put policies in place to remove all these ropes that are just laying around. It should be mandatory!!! Fisheries are an important industry, but they need to clean up after themselves!!

I hope more people become aware of these issues and fix them. I stopped eating seafood and more vegan because of seeing these issues. But thank you all so much again! taking your time to get in place, and moving carefully and quietly, before deploying the hook, then snap, the hook cuts the straps, and the seal disappears into the water, and the cut straps are retrieved, and disposed of. great work at that rescue. OCN doing a great job👍👍

Teamwork! These OCN guys are getting more and more calls from these docks. They obviously are doing a lot right! And I am not talking just about saving these seals. In order to keep being called, they obviously are making a very positive and personal relationship with the dock workers. Another successful stealth rescue in treacherous circumstances for you Antoine. Fortunately, the seal was fast asleep and didn’t know what had happened until it was over. I'm a butterfingers, and even in my younger, fitter days would have dropped the hook or something, and inadvertently frightened the seal into the water.😄 Thank you for saving him.💙
