Hi! I'm Lina and I'm a trans woman. This is a video for those who have never dealt with long hair and feels overwhelmed by the maintenance.
English isn't my first language and whenever I talk about hair and say "them" instead of "it" or plural "hairs", it's an interference mistake from my 1st language. I know precisely how it is supposed to be said but apparently still make this mistake when speaking fast 😅

Excellent tips! I've only just come out to myself as trans a month ago (29, AMAB). My hair length is currently only ~2 inches (5cm), and it's primarily wavy/curly.. I imagine it's going to take at least a couple of years until I have shoulder or breast-length hair. Despite having to wait so long, I know it'll be worth it! 😊

Absolute gem of a channel; this is some great advice for people just getting started taking care of long hair in general. I would love to see you cultivate a business-chic "mom, how do it?" channel around yourself! Keep being awesome! You look great and I love your vibe.

Hi there, just started my feminizing HRT almost 2 mos. ago, so still a long way to go before I MIGHT be able to pass ( starting out at 48, so unsure what to expect resultwise, but doing it anyway!) but still glad to have found this channel! Thank you for your advice and tips on the journey from someone well behind you on the trail!

Good information. You do much better then many who only know english as thier language. I had never been told about Hair Mask before. I have dry, thin hair that becomes frizzy quickly. I will try a hiar mask to see in it helps. Before HRT i had a oily scalp, that by second day made my hair oily. Since starting HRT, my skin stay clean and oilmfree. So my hair doesn't get oily. My hair is very curly right after washing, and within a few hours starts losingbthe tight curls. By the second day, very little curl. Almost straight. This is all new to me, as i also kept my hair shirt befote startingnmy transition.

Great starting advice. I just wanted to add a few points. When I used a less mild shampoo, I'd skip it sometimes. So I'd wash my hair and then condition it. And only shampoo on alternate times. Some people even go longer or stopped using shampoo all together. Now that I is a mild shampoo, I use or almost every time I wash my hair. (Still only was my hair only once a week. I'm not in an environment where my hair gets dirty or sweaty.) And yes, heat isn't that good for hair. I wash my hair when I have time to stay at home and first dry pat my hair with an old t-shirt. It really absorbs. Then I leave it to air dry. If I'm in a hurry, then I use my hair drier on the lowest heat setting and high air speed. When brushing, start from the roots and work your way up. So first brush the roots, then a bigger part to your roots and then the full length, from your scalp to your roots. This is easier. And if needed, you can add a drop or 2 of your favourite oil. I personally use olive oil based "hair oil". ✌😊

Oh, I forgot. Hair bands are based. They easily hide hair lines. (Especially the widows peaks/sides.)

Hey, excellent video very informative and nice tricks and tips I have a request, I saw your lovely glasses, I'm also a glasses wearer do you have any tips for choosing glassses which are more feminine which don't look too over the top? I say this because I want to transition out of my guy style glasses and get to more feminine versions, but I'm not necessarily, fully out as fem all the time so something that I could use for both scenarios (masc and fem) would be particularly useful for me thank you!

Hi! I'm not an expert on glasses (I only wear glasses at home and once in this video😁) and info I can share is a bit more than I can fit into a comment but not enough to make it's own video. But I'll touch on it the video about my coming out (that I'll do soon-ish) Thank you for the suggestion!

I think it's great to see people breaking the gender stereotype that long hair is somehow only for girls. More power to you!

I don't dry my hair using a towel as you showed. If I did I would end up with a lot of hair pulled out of my head. I just pat it with a towel and then let it dry on its own. I got one of those brushes that you showed. Total waste of money. Every time I use it the brush is full of my hair. Using a comb every morning works better for me. I have hair that tends to stick together and becomes knotted and tangled. I can run my hand through my hair and there will be at least one strand of hair. Am nearly 50 and on anti DHT medication to prevent further balding.

If you have long enough hair, grab it close to the roots and comb the hair hanging from your hand. This should transfer the force into your grip instead of your roots.
