For healthy hair growth that doesn't make you poor, consider the following: 1. Legal and illegal drugs are not only expensive, but also bad for scalp blood circulation and thus for hair growth. 2. Shampoo is used exclusively for direct cleansing of the scalp. When rinsing, enough shampoo runs over the lengths and tips to clean them. Shampoo on lengths and especially on tips promotes hair breakage due to dehydration. 3. Hair needs more hydration and/or protein. These ingredients should make up the highest percentage in any hair conditioner, mask, etc. you use (shampoo excluded). 4. Only alcohols with a prefix such as cethyl-, lauryl-, steatyl-, etc. are good for the hair. Products high in ethyl alcohol will destroy your hair and should be avoided. 5. In order to be able to apply styling products precisely, you should first divide your hair into several sections (4 or more) and separate with large hair clips. This way you can really reach all lengths and tip, don't distribute too much product over a few, easily accessible hairs and neglect others. 6. In order to prevent hair breakage and possibly acne, you should touch your hair as little as possible with your hands after styling (transfer of sebum, etc./ hair-hand-face) and use a silk pillow or bonnet to sleep.

All of you are under 25. Long hair is for women and young people. As you mature into manhood you’ll just naturally gravitate to shorter hair. Some of them don’t have a choice. It’s more masculine and practical. You and your wife sharing products and taking the same amount of time at 35 years old don’t hit like you think it’s going to.

Two things that really help not having as much hair in the drain: -Brush out your hair before the shower to get out most of the lose hair already -use a drain sieve/hair drain catcher to catch the last lose hair before they clog up your drain pipe (literally do this, they are like 6$) There will still be hairs in your drain, but a lot less then if you don't do this and thus might not collect in the pipe as much. Sincerely someone who had to unclog a pipe for several hours before doing this
@CusheeFoofee
@CusheeFoofee 6 ай бұрын
Sieves are horrible since they let hair go under them anyways. Go for a tubshroom instead. It's a metal pipe/mushroom with a lot of holes so water goes through. It inserts inside of the hole, and has a rubber gasket at the bottom to catch all the hairs falling in.

One small but huge tip to make long hair more easy to have(good for awkward phase too); In the morning, wet your hair slightly, use a wet brush to slick it back and then put on a headband(lightly, after pulling it back, pull the headband forward slightly) In about an 30-60 minutes when your hair is 100% dry, remove headband, it'll stay back(and look nice) pretty much the whole day. My workday is basically do this and remove headband when I park my car.

I've had long hair most of my life. For me it's like... it's as much of a hassle as I make it, tbh. If I want it easy, then all I need to do is wash, condition, brush and go. Hair bands are a blessing for easy long hair maintenance too. Products are very optional. Long hair can look great without any styling what so ever, which short hair rarely can (unless we're talking buzzcut or shorter.) I can also make it hard for myself, by adding tons of products, hair dryer, irons, braiding, etc, to create specific styles. I've wavy/curly hair too, maybe a 3B, so my "easy maintenance" days means just rocking a giant poof. Embracing all that frizz, basically. That takes no effort, really. While my "high maintenance" days means defining my curls plus trying to get some volume, which takes hours. Having long hair, in and of itself, is not any more difficult than having short hair. It really depends on how complex of a style you want to have. And sure, you have to use more shampoo and conditioner per wash, but you also don't have to wash long hair as often, generally. When I've had short hair, I needed to wash it basically every other day, but with long hair I can go a week between washes. So in total I don't actualy use more product. I hate to say it, but you kinda chose to make long hair a struggle. I've known lots of men and women who just wear their long hair as is, without a lengthy hair routine, or constantly needing to fix it throughout the day.
@JustCallMeEmily
@JustCallMeEmily 10 ай бұрын
The longer my hair gets, the easier it is to manage. I can get away with brushing it once a week and washing it once a month. The most effort I put into it is braiding it at night to keep it from getting really bad tangles.
@ryptoll4801
@ryptoll4801 10 ай бұрын
@@JustCallMeEmily Yeah, I think there are lots of arguments for how long hair is (or can be) easier to manage than short hair. I don't even braid mine at night. I just tie it up into a loose bun, or just stuff it into a silk scarf I tie around my head. If I had a bonnet, that would be an even easier way to protect my hair at night.
@kumimukimu
@kumimukimu 10 ай бұрын
Yea the layers he had in his wolf cut made it hard to put it up. I don't find it that much of a hassle because I know I can put it up in a bun or claw clip or braid it. I think there may be some mistakes he made with his hair routine, like the constant brushing and he seems to wash his hair a lot. If he has curly hair as he says brushing would be counterproductive.
@Fekuchand_
@Fekuchand_ 9 ай бұрын
@@ryptoll4801yeah you are right as a guy with long hair and bit wavy hair 〰, I can assure you that longhair is way more less maintenance than short hair, men need to go barber every 2 3 weeks if they have to maintain their specific style, I go to hair stylist once every 4 or 5 months 😁, that's a win win situation and yeah the more you get involve in hair product and hair style it's like a rabbit whole which will suck you deep inside, I think same happened with the bro he is so much obsessed with hair and haircut and his haircut is high maintenance hair cut, if gets long layered hair cut you can have multiple styles with it.

finally growing out my hair again (I'm a white woman with 1a or 1b hair, so essentially straight with minimal wave and natural blonde so it's kind of fine and easy to damage) and ive actually been genuinely enjoying my hair health journey and grow-out process so far. i had black box-dyed short hair for a while and the bleaching process to remove that and return to my natural blonde was brutal on my hair (i.e. fried off most of my ends, even with salon expertise) so i've been trying literally everything imaginable to help my hair return to a healthy state and to essentially be kind to my scalp and lengths. so far, treating my hair routine essentially like long, calming meditation sessions has helped my hair (and my mental health tbh) immensely. taking care of my hair is a mindful thing that i enjoy doing now, and i think a key part of haircare (if you enjoy doing so, of course) for me is to let it be a calming, unwinding start and end to my day. I only have wash day once per week, but every morning and night I oil my ends with a jasmine and flaxseed oil mix and comb it through (as I love the smell and have a pavlovian calm response to jasmine now). it's proved super peace-inducing for me and the moments of calm i get doing my hair are actually very important and beneficial to me now. long hair, while i want to get there eventually, has ceased being my sole purpose for haircare and now I just genuinely love being kind to my hair and taking the time to understand it/care for it. if anyone else is growing their hair or wants their hair to be healthy again, i hope this helps!! :) it's a journey fr but an enjoyable one (for me at least)

As a long hair guy myself I find it easy to have a blunt straight across haircut for my ends and be at extreme ease taking care of it. It allows me to braid, bun and put it up effortlesly without going insane or putting products... Heck it I dont even use conditioner and hair its just ok. Of course this works for me, face shape and hair type, fine and straight for the most part. I think layers look amazing only if u commit to style it, which does make things a lot more complicated on regular basis. Otherwise long hair can be pretty minimal even frugal.

It looks great! I have been growing my hair out for almost two years, maintenance cuts and all. My hair looks (before the cut) like yours, but just shoulder length. I've been so torn. I've been wanting to get a hair cut as well, but I'm worried it will take away from the personality!

The shed is the realest part, even growing from an always shorter hair style to a medium long one the amount of hair you shed becomes so much more noticable. I remember getting slightly paranoid but eventually I just realized it was completely normal and hey, I'm not bald yet

I started growing my hair out during the pandie and getting to WFH. My friend is 6’2 and his hair is down to his bum. I enjoy being able to whip it around and use it for drag, but 99% of the time it’s in a bun for me lol I need to rethink my life choices 🤣 Your hair is lovely btw! 🖤🙌🏼

As someone with long 2c hair my experience has been very different haha. I brush once, maybe twice a day and don't use product. A big difference for me was switching to a wide tooth comb. I wash & condition twice a week, use water otherwise. I do live in the country side, so I wonder if not having all the stuff in the NYC air affects it.. I'm a big believer that the body can take care of itself, and even my skincare is drastically reduced nowadays to a single wash & SPF moisturiser with much better results. Obviously we're all different though, but just thought I'd weigh in. Ultimately you have to experiment and see if it works for you. The shed though... That I and those around me agree with.. It was a good video, informative and well made. Cool that you're into aquariums also! What's your favourite plant? Mine is Vallisneria Spiralis. I used to be into fashion also, nowadays I just wear my boots and jeans or cargos daily lol. Having looked at your brand, what difference do you think people like Jacob Hetzer or even the Rough Simmons guys have made to starting a small scale fashion house? As I'm not too aware of people doing it beforehand, at least not online, but nowadays there seem to be quite a few & I imagine competition is tough.

I have decently long curly hair and one of the greatest pains in life is seeing all the shed hairs in the shower. it's thin and curly so instead of falling on the floor or staying on my pillow it's locked in there so every time I shower I feel like I'm balding. Still won't cut it I look fabulous.

Started growing my hair in October 2022. I'm 50+ and still have thick hair. It must be the genes - I have the hair thickness of a 30 year old. Always had my hair short - feared I was going to go bald by 40 years old. Never happened and started to grow in 2022. No maintenance - no special products - no hot air dry - just wash and dry. I do use an oil product - but overall I get compliments for my natural healthy looking hair. My hair is really wavy and thick. And I only comb it once - in the morning only. Rest of the day I just use the finger comb. I have to post a video one of these days.

I got the same haircut you did and at first I really struggled styling it but if possible try and brush your bangs all the way down so they’re in your face as much as possible when they’re wet, that’s what works for me, my hair still wants to part usually but if I dry it like that it works much better

cutting my long hair is my biggest regret. short hair is way more high maintenance with my hair type because it looks goofy no matter how i get it cut. too much volume, i feel like a clown. even if i use thinning shears. i need the extra weight of long hair. i also hate layers in long hair, it takes too much styling and its too trendy and farrah fawcett looking. adds way too much volume too. i prefer the sleek long hair without layers short hair needs more maintenance cuts because it takes a shorter amount of time for your haircut to grow out too much, and short hair frizzes and gets damaged easier because you cant just braid it at night to protect it. long hair also has more styling options to pull it back whereas short hair always eventually gets in the way and you cant just tie it up. with long hair i can just wake up, undo the braid, run a comb through it and im set for the day. with short hair i need to style it every single day and it really sucks

I think everyhing you said it's legit! I have kinda long hair since 2017 so I lived with these problems and consequences but I think half of it can be soved by putting it in a bun when you are at home like when you eating or in the day by day activities like cleaning. The acne problem you gotta change the pillowcase almost everyday and after walking up go clean the face. And for everyone that is letting the hair grow you got to transform the time with the hair maintenance into a habit. Like it's time consuming but if you face it like a burden it will feel even worst.

As a black man with dreads I don’t have much maintenance and I love how long my dreads have gotten, for reference I’ve had a buzz cut for about my whole life only growing out my hair for the first time last summer and now it’s almost down to my shoulders. My maintenance is a shampoo whenever my hair needs it and a retwist once every 2 to 3 months otherwise I just let it be and I look a lot better with long hair as well which is a big factor in me keeping it.

I have a flat hime haircut that I absolutely love. Barely maintain it. While I want to learn how to do better, I doubt I would have to put too much time into it really. I only shower once every 3 days, as that also affects the environment, along with not really needing it personally. Not sure what "Weighing down the hair" is about, although I do have straight light thin hair personally. I do have knots in straight hair, and I just brush once every other day really. Does curly hair knot in a way that's more intense or something than straight hair that you NEED to brush it asap? Regardless, just work out at the gym to handle heavier hair, right? I stopped noticing my hair, except rarely in my food. Doesn't bother me at all. Of course I do have to cut the long hair out of the vacuum cleaner, but don't forget the dust that is your dead skin cells. You are already cleaning "A part of yourself" off the floor. "Clog your drains" Have you ever heard of a tubshroom? Why use a drain snake when you can just place a metal tube with holes and a rubber gasket into the drain hole, so hair falls into it and catched onto the gasket, with all the holes allowing the water to drain through unimpeded? I mean, you just pull that tubshroom out when needed, get some toilet paper, and quickly yank and throw the hair into the trash. Easy peazy. And since you do it more often, it doesn't smell? (I never smelled it up close personally). I do reshape the front of my hair a bit when I notice it's off. That said, I'm not putting too much effort into it. I guess a benefit of flat hair is that wind isn't as BIG of an issue. There's not much of a shape to lose. My hair typically hides the acne anyways, so not a big problem. I do wear my outside clothes on my bed. That said, I am weird and sleep on the floor. I wonder if using differnet materials for your pillow case, such as an antibacterial/antimicrobial material like hemp or linen, might help out with hair and oils and acne and what not. Let me guess, is your pillow case polyester? Personally, I am a femboy, so maybe it's a different situation. It's required for me to feel like the person I believe I am to be.

I have solid density but a huge forehead and short hair just makes me look older, but long curly hair is a bitch to maintain and washing it everyday is just impossible because it would take me 1-2 h daily, so i just do it 2 times a week and hope the styling products keep it looking nice.
