For those of you who don't know, Long Horse is one of the few of Trever Hendersons creatures who is genuinely benevolent as opposed to his other creatures that are presumably neutral (Siren Head) the few that are geniunely evil (Upside down face man), or the many that don't seem to fit into conventional morality. The Long Horse is kind and curious, but also acts as omen of bad things to come.

Long horse is like the opposite of siren head. Siren head makes warning sounds to try draw you out and kill you Long horse make horrifying cracking noises but tries to warn you of danger

He is purely harmless, and his goal is to warn humans of upcoming dangers. If a human hears a neck crack or sees the long neck of the creature, the message is that a disaster will occur, not because of Long Horse, but because of what will happen later on

This was a great way for me to see Trevor Henderson’s art brought to life in film format, for the first time. From what I looked up, it seems that you nailed the roles and mannerisms of Long Horse and Siren Head. Because I immediately started watching your video from its link on Alteori’s page, I missed the “ft. Siren Head” in the title and was caught by surprise to see him make a cameo at the end. Yet the twist immediately made sense, and I thought it was pretty clever. The two monsters looked like something that could fit right in with the Silent Hill games, the “Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark” books’ illustrations by Gammell, and/or a surreal Tim Burton film such as “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. When I first saw those two shots starting at 2:49, I actually thought for a moment that you built a puppet of Long Horse and filmed it. But then I watched the whole second half to confirm that every shot of the creature was done through CGI. When I first heard of Long Horse, I imagined the creature would work really well as an animatronic or stop-motion figure. But if your CGI work was good enough to briefly fool me into thinking, that some of those shots involved practical effects, then I guess it did its job well. Still, it seems the poor Long Horse cannot catch a break. When it appears trying to warn people that they should leave, someone might not get the cryptic hint to run away and get killed by the oncoming disaster. Then, when it tries to actively protect someone for a change by surrounding him, the dude freaks out and runs away, leaving the safety behind and putting himself in harm’s way. 😔

The acting makes this video much less scary. His facial expression is so neutral. He doesn’t look like he’s scared at all. The VFX is amazing though.

The idea of having such an uncanny creature (with the weird patches of hair) is genius! Thank you for sharing this wonderful creation!

This is amazing effects, here. Much better than mainstream Hollywood stuff. They spend billions on a single film and can't even make visuals and sound effects sound super real. You're awesome at this.
