Loving this planning series, would be grateful if you make more like these. I am new in to forest school and ended up making so many notes from these videos. I have some queries and would like to connect with you through email.

Glad you have found the planning videos useful. I was thinking of doing some more videos on planning, as it is something people often have questions about. Is there a particular aspect that you would like me to expand on? My email is - forestschoollou@gmail.com

@@ForestSchoolLou I would also like to extend my thanks for how useful these videos have been. I am currently trying to complete my qualification online and have felt very lost in the process but your videos have brought so much clarity. I would be interested in any further ideas for working with older groups, i.e secondary age, and how this might look long term. Thanks again Lou, I can't tell you how useful your teaching has been!

Thanks @@92jamr, glad the vids have been helpful. Thanks for the feedback about content ideas - I have been thinking about doing one about secondary age group, as it's a question often asked, so will get that one on the list!

@@ForestSchoolLou That's great to hear Lou, thank you. Will be sending my fellow FS trainees your way. I have learnt more over the last week watching your videos than I have the entire 9 months I've been studying. Thanks again for making such top quality (AND FREE!!) content.

Loving your videos, helping a lots here in south Brazil to start my forestschool. 🙏 My question is what's the best size of group to work with per session? Is there a minimum and a maximum of people for one líder? Thanks a lot

Thanks Danielle, glad you like the vids - I bet you have some amazing Forests in Brazil! That's a great question - I might try and do a video on that subject - thanks for the idea! But in the meantime briefly - it really can vary depending on the needs and age of the group. As we are trying to work with learners self esteem and emotional development the ratio of children to adults is usually higher than it might be in a classroom for example. Personally, I have found that a group size of 12-16 mainstream learners to be OK, working with me as a leader and 2-3 addition adult helpers. But if the learners have additional needs the group size would need to be much smaller and adult ratios probably higher. I once worked with some very vulnerable teenagers from a childrens home - there were 3 learners with 6 adults and me!
