I'm glad you addressed the fan that runs after it is powered off. I couldn't find anything about it, even on the website. I don't like to leave something running while powered down. It turned off, just like you said, after 5 minutes or so. Thank you SO much!!

I just found a brand new one by the recycle bin, the cap was seized up so no wonder whoever owned it got rid of it, I'm mechanically inclined so I used a metal bar to loosen it off without breaking it, so watchout for that problem, I love it, it works exactly the way it's supposed to.

Is there no filter for this? Distilled water is expensive.

My base keeps like overflowing even with cap on tight and the mist hasn't been working right and i only had it fir couple months 🤷

So my wife uses water, scrub pad and one of those small bottle brushes. Taotronics also recommends white vinegar / water mixture if you have a lot of mineral build-up. Hope this helps.

What are the beads on the cap that opens underneath?

Those are supposed to filter the water. I think they are just there for show to be honest. Plus I got a new one in early 2023 that no longer has those beads and the cap to fill is now larger.

@HubersRanch please answer me✌️ , but I have your version, I'm guessing the beads filter cartridge is permanent? As in that brand does not sale filters for this humidifier?

They used to sell them, but I don't think they do anymore. As stated above new model doesn't have them anymore, plus with my almost 24/7/365 usage, the fans inside would give out way before that filter ever would 😅
