So talking to your child is ridiculous because they may not stop when you do the first time, but hitting your child is different somehow? What if they don't stop after you hit them the first time, just hit them harder until they do? Great solution. And what do you do when they get old enough to hit you back, you just get in a full blown fist-fight? Also the "it's not abuse if i do if for a reason" is so stupid, literally every parent who hits their children think it's for a reason, they are just so mentally ill that they think it's appropriate to beat their child bloody for a bad grade or dropping a glass. Who decides what's an "appropriate" amount of beating? I think it's also pretty telling that the only people who beat their children and claim it's good for them are some of the people who have been beaten themselves, while everybody else (including tons of other people who were beaten as children) don't do it. People are just uncomfortable coming to terms with the fact that they were abused, while being too impatient and dumb to do better themselves.

My mom used to beat me a lot when I was a kid, she once slapped me so hard that my cheeks bled, I was in grade 4. Her constant abuse made me develop a fear of authority, I could not comprehend the idea of mutual respect between kids and adults. This led me to really obey teachers at school and have absolutely 0 friends. I’m 20 and to this day I cannot connect properly with people older than me, it’s something that’s cemented in my brain now. At the end of the day it’s not the lack of whoping that makes a school shooter, it’s parental neglect. If your child is the centre of your attention you’ll figure out easily how to bring them up with love, whoping is the result of a parental complex cause the parents ego stops them from wanting to empathise with their kids perspective. I wholeheartedly believe whooping causes way more harm than good to the child.

Like I heard old ppl say this "Kids should be seen not heard" but sometimes kids are more mature than adults, I hate that adults are taken more seriously and thought that they can handle stuff better when in some cases the adult is not and setting a bad example for the child, but you have to respect them just bc they are an adult or your parent :/

When you are considered an adult in whatever country you are, they will be coming for your money. I am not joking. As soon as you put one pinkie toe out the door of childhood, they will be coming for your money. I repeat - enjoy being a kid. However, there are joys in adulthood too. So once you do get to adulthood, I also advise to spend your twenties enjoying yourself without putting yourself in the position of too many responsibilities. You were neglected and never told why what you did was wrong. Your abusive parents never tried to put themselves in the shoes of another kids and converse with you that way as a child so you could understand. But I guess slapping them and making them fear you is easier than using their brain and thinking of a good talk to change you. Go talk with any psychologist and let's see how many of them knod their head and agree with the solution of violence solves every problems. How proudful as an adult to slap and inflict pain on a defenseless child who cant stand for itself. Instilling fear into kids is such a stone aged method. I still have trauma and scared to properly talk to people because of what my parents did to me in the past. They made me scared to properly interact with humans because I'm scared of how they will react based on my actions. Glad my brother who now has a 4 years old girl isnt a abusive lazy parent like yours. Even when she cries alot and annoys his father he reacts accordingly properly with kindness and she gets it. Never scared of her father and I can see how well they are bonded together. You dont correct children by beating then up after a false action. They just won't repeat infront of you to avoid your anger and abuse. But they will do it behind your back since theu haven't learnt why what they did was wrong in the first place
