I used to watch this video like 10years ago before surfing at backseat my dad is driving. Now I'm like24years old, I'd never imagined that I could speak English now and understand what CJ Nelson saying in this video which I couldn't.

Smooth and graceful surfing. There was some turns that were powerful and still smooth. Fantastic style!

Back in the day I think it was more in our heads than anything else. When we all began to ride shorter boards (my first was a 8' 6" V bottom) we convinced ourselves that you could not nose ride at that length!

Someone asked about nose riding? I have a 5'0 that I nose ride. I feel like it has to do with the wave. When the waves is at the right speed and angle I can sometimes set up my rail and ride the nose.

@74LesPaul ...hi...funny my first shorter board was a v bottom two...it was a horrible board though....not that all were...but mine was....eventually i went down to a 5'11''....which i sometimes nose rode....fun is fun

has anyone seen longer movie a juel tudor film? i used to have it is it possible to get another copy there is a segment in that movie with the wind cries mary for the song i absolutely want to show my fiance and of course the opening sequence when he is doing ridiculous heli and fins firsts

How long does a board need to be to be able to nose ride on it? I started out on long boards and then went through the short board revolution in the late 1960's. I had a Gordon and Smith Stretch noserider that was 9'4." However, when my boards got to be 8' 6"'s I stopped noseriding them. But you could nose ride an 8'6" ? Long time ago. . I forget some of these things!

well your my hero i have a 5'11 twin fin true fish and a bunch of longboards but who cares the thing is i can take my 9'1 blue and snap it harder than you can your puny 5'7
