The Longest Serving Landlady In The UK - Episode Two (Episode 2). Hi everyone. I was fortunate enough to be able to re-visit The Griffin Inn Pub in North Wales - Jean Williams is the longest serving landlady in the land and this is my second visit. The beautiful piano is still there in the bar and Jean and myself had a good old tune on the Joanna and I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Jean and the locals at The Griffin Inn Pub for making me so welcome. The music is great but your thoughtfulness recognizing her talent is more than appreciated. Not a bad achievement great entertainment and making anther feel good and appreciated. Well done Terry and Jean and a great pub.👍 How different life was when many houses and pubs had pianos which were played as their main source of entertainment. Unfortunately manyBritish public houses have closed or force to change to eateries 🤮as the bean counters have made our world more materialistic so it’s good to see a traditional pub ❤

wow. what a video. I wish that this could happen in the USA. This video brought back a lot of memories with my grandmother on the piano. when terry played that song this heart of mined. I broke down crying of that sing. My grandmother and my mom sang that song to me when i was a baby. so beautiful video. Thank you, terry, and everybody in the pub.

A fantastic video Terry! However, I’m not sure Jean is in fact the longest serving landlady in the land. Nancy Swanick has been the landlady of the fantastic Peveril of the Peak pub in central Manchester for 53 years (since April 1971) and is also the oldest landlady in the country at 94 years old! Admittedly, I’ve not been in for a while but as far as I know, she is still going strong and pulling fantastic pints of Guinness!

I remember this landlady, Jean, well from your previous video. What a lovely surprise to return a second time for her special anniversary as landlady. That piano looks extremely well cared for and is immaculate!
