@@longhornlesters Lester I absolutely get so much joy from seeing these big babies out enjoying themselves omg when they spin I'm lol ❤️ Maybe for safety you could put a two board fence at the cliff lol. Just to notify them they need to put the brakes on 😁 And for the dogs and cats my thought is this. If the dogs and cats hang out as a family with the Ostriches and you and Jami they will soon realize they aren't a threat. If you keep them hidden. They will always be a threat ! And what if the dogs or cat get into the pasture one day and your not there. I would rather have the interaction happen under my watchful eye. Just my thoughts ❤️

could a fence or some kind of barrier be put along the edge to stop any animal from going over the edge or would it be to much of a eyesore for y'all I think it would look good but I just ask as a safety thing but animals usually learn the terrain.love you guys.

I’m pretty sure you are the only person I’ve ever seen that casually “grazes and walks their ostriches” on a daily basis and it’s amazing! Could you imagine telling Lester from just a couple of years ago that you would have this property and a full family of ostriches and longhorns that live on it?! Would he even believe you?!

@@saltyshambles Baby ostriches grow fast. From what I've read they are full grown by 6 months, but not considered adults until 2 years old. I'm trying to find out why the baby's dancing means. I tried researching the dancing.....I get it with the adults but not the babies. I also learned Ostriches can become attracted to humans, lol. I keep thinking about Jake's videos before the girls came and everytime Jake would get near Carl, Carl would dance, lol. But in the last article I read they are still researching the dancing behavior, since the baby's dance too. My personal opinion, dancing could me they are just happy as well.

Just a question as with your drop-off for the safety of the babies can't you just put up a fence with just metal posts and your wire. You don't have to do a wooden fence just something to keep them safe from anyone going over. Love watching the ostriches run around and stretch their legs. Lvs from Wisconsin

That was awesome watching the babies dance around in circles near dad.I never thought when you got Karl,that he would be walking around outside the pasture without trouble.What a difference a year makes,hats off to you Lester.I could watch the ostriches all day they are like cartoon animals the way they dart around.Lovely video thank you for sharing.

Wow, ostrich zoomies can be heart attack inducing, especially where Millie, Fiona and the kitties are concerned🫣😅🤣 I do LOVE it when they run around though. Lester the way you’re yelling out ladies’ names, the neighbors will start thinking you’re a playah😉😁😁

My favorite part, the babies dancing like ballerinas. Then there's Debbie with her wings out, doing the look out thing and saying "Stay away from my babies, they are auditioning". My imagination kind of went more then that, lol. Basically "The Life of an Ostrich Family". Why not, shoot they had that dinosaur show back in the 90's. I don't normally think like this, but this one got me.

Oh my I guess the pups and kitties need to be put up when the ostrich family are out. Those babies are so adorable running and turning in circles. It's is awesome, I loved it. You may need to put put a fence along your prayer place and ledge. You really need something before someone gets hurt and that means you too. It scares me just looking down from there.i love what you and Jami do keep it up.

That's a really good idea 💡 about a "⚠️ warning fence" Lester for the drop-off area. Just something simple made to visually warn of danger below...maybe bamboo with dangling things that blow in the wind 🤔

You should add a section of fencing to keep babies from falling off the ledge of drop zone...we ALL know how you are a GREAT builder of fences.

I love that you're allowing them to graze outside of there yards..it helps with either a breakout or an accidental gate left open situation...they're already acquainted with it that way. Thanks for the video Lester!!

Seeing the Ostriches running around free like that reminds me of wild horses running free! They are the best trained Ostriches 👍! The little ones were running around like we're free - weeee! You let the Longhorns out, then you'll really have a $hitshow on your hands 😂😂! Will give them credit for being willing to try new vegetables! The little Ostriches look like preteens. Omgosh them twirlin babies! The TRIPLE TWISTERS I'm callin them. I've loved going along for the ride with the ostriches. Carl has come a long way and I'm so happy for him. I wonder if his old owner sees these videos and sees how Lester has given Carl everything he could wish for including his own haram and a family with lots of freedom!

I love how the ostriches follow you when you call them. It’s really cool seeing them so relaxed and happy. They really do act different now than at the sanctuary. You are doing great with those dinosaurs.

I LOVE seeing the babies run and twirl! It is so amazing to see baby ostriches prance and twirl. We are very lucky Carl and Debbie and Lester share this experience with us. I hope there are a thousand more videos of the baby ostriches twirling and zipping around. It is such a gift to us to learn about ostriches and to see how they are hatched and grow.

I loved this video and how happy the babies and the adult ostriches dancing. Especially the babies dancing around Carl. Right away I thought of the song “Private Dancer” and thought that would be a great song on a reel of the ostriches being out of their pasture.

I was thinking of Capt Jack Sparrow the way he runs with his arms out alittle and he leans back.The babies do the. same thing.Love the way they twirl...on E-Bay I saw these retractable screens that can be ordered any length the beauty of it is when the birds are out you pull the screen across the raveen then when they go back into their pasture just retract the weather proof screen no view lost...in fact you could probably hide the vertical poles behind a tree or attach to the tree

I absolutely love watch the ostriches run and play. I will look forward to seeing them out to play with daddy. The babies are so adorable.. You will not find me being a Negative Nancy..LOL. Lester, what right do I have to tell you what to do, I don't own an ostrich, nor a longhorn, donkey or a beautiful horse. You done a great job, you and Jami have the biggest and best hearts. I did raise my eyebrow when you brought Carl home but I NOW trust your decision just not with fire. LOL love you both, stay safe ❤🙏❤

Wow, that's all I can say. I love seeing the ostriches roaming free with no worries. Yes they may have chased a dog or cats but everyone was okay. Everyone is just curious. And to see how much Charlie, Sue and Tat have grown is amazing. Thank you for all you do and not only giving all of those animals a forever and loving home but for sharing them with all of us. I always look forward to this every day. I think LHLs has been such a fantastic move for the ones there. The ostriches are so funny. Maybe put a string up by the bluff with ties on the string every lil bit..ties like you mark trees with. You know what ur doing though..I love everything y'all do..

I could watch those babies dance and run all day long!!! They are so entertaining when they want to be. That hill always makes me nervous Lester. I worry about the animals and you and Jami and anyone else visiting the property. One wrong step and it's a long way down. Stay safe out there!!! I just love watching the Ostriches stretch their legs. And those young ones are hilarious twirling around like a little girl with a new dress on! I love watching them stretching their wings too! I could watch them for hours! Have you thought about putting a fence across the big drop off section? I'm so scared one day one of the animals may topple over the edge..that would be horrible that's quite a drop off. Just a suggestion? 🥰❤❤❤❤❤

The ostrich babies are so fun to watch. They remind me of little kids turning in circles and then run around sporadically like “look at me”!!! Haha 😂

I just loved seeing the babies dance. Made me realize that if Sue doesn't go to Oklahoma soon, she will not fit in the car, she is getting so tall.

What a fantastic video Lester to watch before bed so Thankyou Lester watching those ostrich babies zooming around the pasture was just pure joy and they all loved their freedom. Those birds are certainly enjoying their best life have a good week. 💕🙏🤠

I love their “ zoomies” ❣️. Round and around….wings stretched wide…what a sight to see! Oh! I see they love the garden, too! But, I would be worried about that cliff, too. And, I’m expecting that with more exposure to the dogs and cats, that the ostriches will no longer pay any attention o them. Lester, how thrilled you must be to bring them out into the open yard….you and Jamie are so good with them. This is a big day!
