Hey guys.
In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F22 raptor fighting Sabre4 in the Rafale (thanks for the help buddy) Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthog , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.
My PC Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
GPU: Geforce RTX 4070ti Super
RAM: DDR4 Corsair 3200 MHz 32 GBB (total of 4 sticks so 128 GB in total)
Mother Board: ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

@@kinka16 The control surfaces allow the raptor to point its nose at any angle at will with little to no energy loss. Basically this thing can turn and aoa simultaneously.

I live about 5 miles NW of MCAS Cherry Point NC and this weekend is the air show with the Blue Angels and the F-22, F-35B demo, etc… I cannot describe to you the sound these jets make when doing low altitude high G turns… the sound of freedom is a beautiful thing! ❤

That was much tighter than anticipated, brillant fights ! a shame the Rafale model is not really up to it. Of course everything about those planes is classified, but it seems more work went into the F22. If I remember well, this Rafale mod uses the Su27 flight model, a good dogfighter but probably not very accurate considering the reported extreme agility of the Rafale at low altitude. then you would still expect the F22 to win a majority of dogfight but maybe not by such a margin in that type of scenario

Rafale overperforms in low speeds And it underperforms at high speed in DCS. Though so is the Raptor, it underpeforms in almost every way but that's actually intentional, Grinnell designs wanted to make it more fair so that you have a chance of killing it in DCS. The Rafale mod is just modeled well but off a su-27

Dang, this is one of those fights where I wish it was a tie, the Rafale is such a gorgeous jet! Your opponent got really good at those last second jinks, you scraped the paint off of him a few times before you could get some solid hits. He was robbed on round 6, those first shots he took were bang on and it was only luck that you didn't get a round through your noggin 😂

I make fun of Europeans building things backward (planes and bullpup rifles) but I do like the Rafael and Typhoons. The only canard delta design I don't like is the J-20. In my opinion, the delta wing is too far back. It should be closer to the centerline of the aircraft so the design doesn't have to pull all the forward mass (in front of the center of lift) into the vertical. I don't know if the J-20 is in DCS, but I'd like to see a guns only dogfight between a Rafael and a J-20.

I would be surprised, if Raptor will dominate in all aspects in real life. I would be cautious about these unofficial modules . They sometimes behave like UFO...

People just have a dissonance, and they spin bullshit fairytales about its "true capabilities" the same way Russia or China does about their top planes. The reality of the situation is that F-22 doesn't break the law of physics, and thus there are things which he can, and can't do, but DCS model just doesn't care about physics which is nonsense. In a real dogfight, F-22 wasn't capable of out turning Rafael despite its alleged superior thrust, and other magical claims. And yes, the F-22 is still a superior dog fighter than Rafale, but it ain't a magical plane like people make it to be. //highly classified// You can make data highly classified, but you can't do it with physics, and the max. what plane can do can be extrapolated based on known plane geometry, thrust ratio, etc.

The Rafale being able to defeat a Raptor in a guns only fight is not a myth. It's a reality. But that is obviously very unlikely to happen, since the Raptor is clearly the more maneuverable overall and has the best flight performance of the two jets, but the fact that it is capable of defeating a Raptor in a guns only fight also doesn't mean nothing about the Rafale. It does not mean that the Rafale is the best amongst the 4th gen jets and that it's the only 4th gen aircraft that can kill an F-22 in a guns only fight... Nope. T-38s once in a while "shoot down" F-22s druing pilot training flights...

The only thing I hate about this game is how nerfed the Rafale mod actually is. French pilot who flew mock fights against F-22 is confident on WVR the Raptor. Yes the Raptor is more maneuverable but Rafale's agility is in a league of its own
