In an office's switchboard room we see one of the hideous T&N green and ivory telephones supplied by General Telephone Systems. Another shot deep in the bowels of St Paul's Cathedral gives a glimpse of a two-tone grey ATE 'Coffin Phone' as used on Communications Systems private exchange systems.

Thanks for these great nostalgic films, I get upset some times when I see how nice our country used to be. I don't think those old telephones are hideous tho, I like them.

"Hideous"? GTS installed hundreds of those all over the country in private (internal) phone systems and no-one ever complained ;-). Although I do admit the sleek, beige T4 successor was much sexier and even made brief appearances in James Bond films!

Wait - less than 5,000 _lived_ in London when this film was made?! I assume he meant the city center? Wow - have to see how many live there today

You need to look up what ' The City of London' means. It does not mean the same as 'the city of London'.

Those modern buildings are eye sores on the skyline so glad they banned their construction, brutalist architecture is a sin against humanity

Surprised that the firemen wore all black - high vis is a deffo requirement in their job. The firetrucks in the US allegedly can hit 70mph from rest in just 7 seconds.
