I love your videos!! Im planning to move to Cambodia in November (Hopefully its open by then) - And I will start a daily Cambodia Channel as well. I will make sure i promote your channel on my page once its created, the same way you and Dave and Mark do for each-other! Ive seen so many videos itd be wild to meet you guys in person!

Thank you very much, it's fun for us. We always had the intention to give anything we got off KZfaq away. Covid has been a huge problem for everyone and it includes travel Vloggers. We first of all wanted to do a month in SR then a month somewhere else, and use SR as a base. We support anyone who promotes Cambodia as they need it. Stay safe and thanks for commenting.

Wonderful! We really believe in supporting everyone, and there's heaps of overlap with people watching the videos on all three channels. There's always room for someone new as everyone's take on things is different! Start planning and making your content now - how are you planning, what will you bring, etc. No reason to wait til you get here :)

That was fun, but gee going up on the roof area at the end, up those steps looked dangerous.Loved the feel of the coffee shop. The pick of the apartments was the second mainly because of the garden entrance,exactly what you need when living in a small space. Again thanks for the tour, stay safe.

They were all pretty liveable, I think. The second one was the only one to have a separate bedroom, so it was a bit more spacious. I hope you're having a good start to the non-work week ;)

hi thanx for that info..great ..i am really leaning towards Siem Reab ,,more selection lots there for around 350 with a pool ,,that would be nice ,also if i can get some medicine i need its a short drive to BKK Thanx for the awesome vlog and i try to watch the adds

Hi Don, SR really has more apartments than KP. They are really obsessed with the bungalow style that the unit block, but saying that they are starting to build this. Medicine is extremely easy to get delivered to your door anyway in Cambodia. Thanks for commenting and stay safe.

Yes Siem Reap has a lot more selection, and I am sure it will be fantastic there once the new roads take shape. There are also more/better facilities in Siem Reap, but Kampot just has a charm that's difficult to explain... when you visit you will see :)

Hi Jeremy and Claire , some really nice information on just what's available to rent for the budget conscious in Kampot , really impressed with the quality , and cleanliness of these dwellings , I never gave Kampot much thought before , but your visits about town are showcasing the city wonderfully , and they have me thinking , I will definitely visit when given the opportunity , also looking forward to seeing some houses , and finally , it's so nice to see Kitty back with us all , hope you are both doing well , stay safe , take care , and as always , Peace ...

Hi Brian, Houses next, then monthly hotel rentals and then Luxury Houses. I'm looking forward to seeing some top end ones. Kampot is much prettier than SR in my opinion. So happy to be here, SR is now a huge mud pit but they are getting stuff done. Hopefully will go on a trip when they get this outbreak under control. Stay safe and thanks for commenting.

You are absolutely right, Brian. I kept saying to Jeremy that the places were spotlessly clean. I couldn't fault any of them in that regard. Kampot is so lovely, it's really worth a look. I think houses here represent much better value than apartments, and if you were intending to stay long term and plant a garden and things like that, a house would be a great way to go. Thanks for the video, and yep, Angus place (Cafe Espresso Roastery) is one of my regular stops for breakfast and food, coffe when in Kampot ! Also my friend Sokunteas place "Kampot Cafe" now on new location on the other side of river close to old bridge is a favourite for breakfast.

Thanks for the video. The second place seemed quite a high price for what it is. But then again I'm paying more than twice that at my current place and it is just a room in a nice house. See ya on the next video.

You are right way to expensive, I think they have dropped it to $250 now. I was finding it extremely hard to find apartments to look at as the agents here are as response as the ones in SR. The third one was small but it has a better position and layout. Stay safe and thanks for commenting.

Yes it was definitely expensive. At least every single utility was included, so there's nothing more to pay at the end of each month. I guess some people like that kind of stability. Thanks for watching!

1.4 million Riel or $350US, but I'm sure it was dropped to $250 a month. That does include housekeeping twice a week, electric and water. I was really impressed by the last one, yes it needs new furniture but the place was spotless. Plus it had a great location. Stay safe and thanks for commenting.

How much is the first apartment to rent and are dogs allowed? How far is Siem Reap from here? What about schools there?

This video is quite old now. I can't remember the specifics of each one. Kampot is around 10 hours from Siem Reap and not many job opportunities there.

It's so long since we made this video, but I think there is a map in the video. They were all very cheap, around $150 at the most, and probably available for less now. Thanks so much for watching.

Thanks For Reil ..Interesting to see ..the rentals have changed..As in up in better nicer, design and Quality. ..I missed the monthly cost for the last small bed sit room cost per month..??? With the 7 ups .... ( look forward to basic house and larger flats videos ) cheers

Thanks, apartment rentals are hard to find there. They go for larger houses or small houses in a complex. Thinking of doing some Luxury House tours as well. Thanks for commenting and stay safe.

No, we don't mind that either. We choose to live in slightly more expensive apartments because we like having a bit more comfort.

What do you think about single cotage or small wooden Khmer house next to mountain, arround 8Km from the mid town? Do you think foreigner like this or not? ^_^

Well, I've learned from this that Kampot is not as good as Siem Reap for apartments. I like Kampot but SR wins.

Yeah, Kampot is nice to visit but very inconvenient when it comes to living. The lack of a single decent supermarket was particularly frustrating for us, along with the low standard of apartments. We are lucky to have three branches of Angkor Market in SR and great housing options.
