Mike is the Energy drink guy. During jobs like this I steadily drink a mixture of Pedialyte/water and drink Body Armour hydration drinks as well as take potassium pills and munch on peanut butter crackers. EVEN with all of that, this job took me down. Mike had to drive the Rotator from the job-site to the shop and I went straight from the shop to the ER. I was having severe muscle cramps/spasms to the point of being incapacitated. They filled me with IV fluids and heavy muscle relaxers to ease the spasms. It was bad enough that one of the nurses passing by my room thought I was having seizures. It was MISERABLE!!! But, after a couple hours I was out of the hospital. Then I was on light duty for about a week. I've suffered from heat exhaustion in the past and I thought that I had stayed ahead of it this time, but, apparently my fluid and sugar intakes were too little too late. I knew when my hands started cramping what was coming and I starting downing the drinks and snacks in hopes to of replenishing quickly. Unfortunately, my reserves had already been depleted. I know first hand how bad heat exhaustion can be. That's why I'm constantly telling my guys to stay hydrated. Just goes to show you, even though I THOUGHT I was hydrated, I was not, and I have learned more from this experience so that hopefully I can prevent it from happening again. It's not anti hydration but yea the caffeine in it will make you quickly sweat out whatever hydration it would provide.

Having dealt with both, I'd much rather have an eager and overly enthusiastic worker helping me than one who you have to remind that "work" involves, well, *working.* The former calm down and learn when to slow down. The latter tend not to change.

Yes Ron. Pratt is a great leader of his team. He teaches as they go along doing some seemingly Impossible recoveries. Really am impressed the way he asks his crew if any of them know why they are doing a procedure before he tells them. Really great respect among all of the team!

Ron is the perfect boss, no question about it! I have had some really terrible bosses, and they were a real pain in the ( insert appropriate word here! ) to work for.

thats probably why he only removed the already damaged ones that would need to be replaced anyway and be covered by insurance It seems from past vids that in his area the only thing they are fussy over are the wire barriers, even when tangled in a truck they need permission to cut them.

@@JW...-oj5iw Your point? I was saying they charge 200 a post for each one that is damaged. Then that bill is paid by insurance(Assuming you have comp and not just collision) Though trucks are most likely to have the full suite of insurance.

Even more real when all three trucks start sliding, and there has to be nearly 140,000lbs of trucks chained together!

Yes that is a lot of mass for the vehicle they were recovering to move, therefore showing how badly stuck it was in the undergrowth off the road.

He also does the routine maintenance and changes them out regularly. Ron makes his hourly goal to make sure everyone and everything is safe.
