Richard Manning Yes salvation is a free gift! The royal law is ❤ Jesus Christ with all your ❤, mind, soul, etc. 2) Love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus Christ said if you say you ❤ Me, but don't follow My Commandments, you are a liar, & the truth is not in us. Jesus told everyone, after He healed them. Go & sin no more! Jesus Christ is called Master, counselor, friend. When Mary & his brother came to speak, with Him. The diciple's said your brethren are here.. Jesus turned & looked at the people, He was teaching to & said "Who is My brethren?" Those who hear My Words & do them, they are My brethren!" Paul says in Romans 2:14 When Gentiles having not the law, but do by NATURE, the things contained in the law, these, are law unto themselves: 15: Which show the work of the law written in their ❤'s their conscious bearing witness, & their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or excusing one another.

Thank you pastor, and Jesus. Just the tools I need! Amen! The just shall live by faith. Not by our evidence of faith. Abraham's faith was counted as righteousness, yet there were several times where Abraham's actions seemed like he was more doubtful of God's promises then faithful Was his faith not real then because he lacked evidence of it in the things that he did in the flesh? Of course not. We believe the gospel because God told us it's true. Just like Abraham did. In other words, we don't look for changes in our lives to see if we have faith. We have faith in God's Word, and we can look at the blessings in our lives knowing that's Him. I hope people can recognize the difference. Our focus should always be on Christ and His finished work, not ourselves. Love you sister! You are right on. we can trust Him for all of His promises!

Yes Jack and my precious Lord Jesus. I'm going to post this message. I've already posted it to my own heart. I know I've been changed, but I also know what I became trapped by during my walk in past years, when people let me down or failed, and I let that be some reason to enter into slavery of bitterness then shame and condemnation. Asking why didn't anyone tell me this before, or much of it. It does not matter if anyone did or not, I found out years ago and so trust Jesus and seek and obey Him every day and He will direct our path, because we really do serve Him. Not ourselves. Thank you Jack for cutting to the bone and between soul and spirit. Actually thank you you Lord Jesus for it's You who are bringing us to finish well and not to be ashamed when You return, and that can be any moment. Maranatha, brother Jack and any one or another who will see this. I hope many, many will. Walter, a watchman from Washington state

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. Hello Pastor. Of course we put all our trust, hope, and love in our Lord Jesus Christ. We know that we can't save ourselves. But you said we couldn't get to heaven by being good. In the walk of faith that you mentioned, we must be obedient. Obedience comes from faith (see Romans 1:5), obedience leads to righteousness (see Romans 6:16), and righteousness leads to holiness (see Romans 6:19). Let's look at the following scriptures: I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed, (Rom. 15:18) And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9) Peace to you, and may our Lord Jesus return soon.

If you believe Roman's 10:9 and 10 You are saved full stop. And you are heaven bound. Otherwise Jesus Christ was born for no reason at all. That is the grace of God We right now are in the grace administration. Not that we can do wrong because we are saved bit we try to grow in this grace and share it with people that need what we have. We do not promote fear but love. 2nd Timothy 1:7 Ill leave it up for you to read these scriptures 😁

Hi,sin ceases to have power OVER you don't have the place it is written, but use a concordance. In Genesis Jesus comes to Cain after murdering his brother Able. He warned Cain that sin is at the door and it wants power over you. An interesting topic to study and find just how much power sin has and grasp how temptations are not sins. It's the entertaining sin in your thoughts first. We participate in the process of change, but spiritual growth comes from the Holy Spirit. That's in scripture also, I've had health issues that interfere with my precious enjoyment of studying the Word of God. The Bible is like having a personal councilor ☺️.No condemnation either 🤔
@3scobus
@3scobus 5 жыл бұрын
Pastor Jack, what do you mean "just believing" is not enough, and that we should see evidence of the Holy Spirit working in our lives in order to KNOW that we are saved? That is not what we are told in 1 John 5:13: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." That clearly shows us that our belief in Jesus (the Word) is indeed all the evidence we need to be assured of our position in Christ, for eternal life. It seems like you are trying to redefine faith as something that can be observed, but if we look at the story of doubting Thomas, we can see what Jesus taught to be true faith. He said, "Blessed are those that believe without seeing.", so if by definition our faith is belief in things unseen, how can it be evidenced by changes in our lives that can be seen? I don't think that's right. I'm not saying we won't observe changes in our lives after we are saved, we surely will, but that cannot be the evidence of our faith. Our Faith is simply a knowing in whom we have believed, and a trust that He is working in our lives. Then we can examine our lives, knowing anything good in it has come from him. I really hope you will consider clarifying your message, because approaching it from this way could result in those that professes Christ's name, but never actually belonged to Him. If we are looking for our faith in our changed lives to know that we are saved, just consider where that leads. People can do all kinds of "good things" outwardly. Just look at your average atheist, they live pretty moral lives, and do lots of great charity work, and give to less fortunate. But they are lost. Just the same as the people that claim to know Jesus and do good works in His name, but have not believed the gospel, by resting in the sufficiency of Christ's finished work for their salvation. They are looking at the evidence of their "good moral life", daily repentance of sins, and charity work to assure themselves that they will be saved, and they are the very ones that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7, not understanding that everything they did apart from Christ is iniquity. We can do no good thing apart from Christ, and the only way to abide in Him, and He in you, is to believe in Him. That's the only part we are assigned the in whole gospel message. "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are SAVED, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 "For it is by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9. These two verses make it very clear, that believing is the only thing we can do, and we are even warned it could be in vain. What does in vain mean? It has a couple of definition, and I think both apply. 1. Without success, ineffective, and 2. excessively proud of or concerned about one's own appearance, qualities, achievements, etc.; conceited. That can happen when we allow the focus of our faith to be on self, rather then on Christ who saved us. Peace in Christ be to you, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Jack says the object of his faith is what’s important, not the faith in and of itself. That is true. Faith is merely the instrument through which the righteousness of Christ is imputed to us. BUT, he then proceeds to define and shape what true faith is. This is where he goes terribly wrong. The Bible say that faith is a gift. Not a work. It receives. Jack says if we don’t have a “Combat Faith”, now or five years from now we aren’t even Christians, just believers... huh!? Isn’t the point of 2Peter 1:1-15 that we are sinners and our tendency is to become near sighted forgetting what we’ve been forgiven, and more importantly the cost of that forgiveness? Isn’t Christ the central message in the text. Not me. Isn’t the knowledge of God Peter speaking of the Gospel? Peter tells us to make every effort to supplement our faith. Why,? In response to what is already true, justification. So that, our faith wouldn’t be hindered or our assurance damaged. How is this done, by hearing the word rightly preached and receiving the sacraments rightly administered, and being held accountable (church membership) to a local body of believers (Act 2:42). How does he tell that guy, “my dear friend, you’re not a Christian”? By Jacks own standard of ecclesiology church membership is silly and religious. He doesn’t know that man and according to Jack that man isn’t required to be held accountable to the ruling elders. Jack substituted works as defined by him for the finished work of Christ.

I don't think he knows how pot works.. Not that anything can't become a habit, but there's nothing addictive in pot. I enjoyed the message, just saying. Not like that time Jack attributed all soldiers courage to them thinking they were invincible. That pissed me off. But ignorant statements have that effect on me.

Randall Slaughter I checked several websites including NIH and marijuana is generally considered addictive. It’s also a gateway drug to other drugs. I’ve known many marijuana users and my experience with them was they were addicted to marijuana at a minimum. They also tended to have “addictive personalities” and freely used tobacco, alcohol, and excessive carbohydrates. I’ve also seen marijuana users develop mental disorders such as schizophrenia. That’s my personal experience. Not sure where you got the idea it’s not addictive but I’d consider that a naive perspective at best.
