The world famous Quanzhou Marionette Troupe performs traditional Chinese puppet shows around China and the world, receiving great acclaim and affection. This "Looking China" film introduces you to two puppeteers, a puppet master who has worked with puppets for over 38 years and a young female newcomer to the organization. As the master reflects on his long career, and the newcomer looks to the future, the fate of puppeteering lies in the balance. Will this ancient art form survive in modern China?
