The woods and the swamp use to be my favorite place when I was a kid. Id bring home snakes and turtles and things and drive my mother crazy.

I caught a very rare frog that has not been found in 11 years in Michigan, it is called a Blanchards Cricket Frog.

I found a population of small mouthed salamanders in Oakland county for the first time in 80 or so years around a little vernal pool in the middle of the woods

I've only seen garter snakes, Ringnecks, and racers. It might be the location though

great spot,im in texas and we had a drought in 2011 then 2013 and it really did a number,i dont see hardly anything anymore,its sad,mostly all i see where i live and im in some deep woods in a national forest is timber rattlers which are super friendly but ive seen a few snakes so far,rat snake,water snake,coral snake,you guys are so lucky to see kings,i havent seen a king snake in like 20 yrs or more.good luck and keep having fun guys.take care.

Noah, you never disappoint. Great videos. I caught my first eastern gartersnake and my first black ratsnake today. (4/24/21). Caught the gartersnake in my back yard, and the rat snake at the field where I play softball.

For my whole life of being in places like those here in SW Mississippi, hunting, atving, riding dirt bikes etc i never realized i was surrounded by snakes. Ive probably sat down by a tree right beside one.

You should get a pair of snake boots. They are waterproof so you don’t have to worry about mud and it is a lot less likely you will be bitten if you step on a snake.

Yea man if you have kids check them thoroughly... and don’t forget pets. The deer ticks are tiny. Idk if there’s a repellent like for mosquitoes...

Wow your so blessed with some fantastic reptiles in the states,I’m so jealous as in England we only have three snake species which are grass snakes smooth snakes and the adder which are very rare!✌️

Where i live all we have are garter snakes, and bull snakes, the only rattlesnakes in our area are 4 hours away!!!

Without having actively gone pn dedicated herping trips, I've seen a brpwn snake, a corn, what I'm pretty sure was a racer, a pair of rats, and an eastern worm. I don't remember ever seeing a watersnake in the wild. What are some of these places around Metro Atlanta you're going to see so many of them?

I take my dog for a walk this morning, and I find a hatchling slider turtle in the ditch. Then I watch this video and see a huge snapping turtle. (Relocated baby turtle across the street to a better location)

I know I've asked this before But, would you be willing to come up to Gwinnett county Ga (Dacula) and herp around the Mulberry/Little Mulberry public park and see what you can find there ? Plenty of water/Creek area along with open fields, woodlands, to search around and in and it's a huge park so plenty to explore.

Hey man, I saw a blue racer the other day but it got clipped by a car. A real bummer. I've never seen one before and it was so beautiful and healthy looking. I brought it out to a deep grassy area in case it had a chance. This was here in GA. Sad.

I had a snapping turtle about that big in my pond and he stunk so bad. I smelled him before i saw him. He was mean as hell too .
