@corcra_. His ability to learn and to speak so many languages fluently is amazing. I'm still trying to learn Tagalog from my wife, but it's hard because it sounds like she's talking a thousand words a minute lol. The other problem is the slang. A lot of the words she uses is shortened so in stead of using the actual word for something she's saying she uses shortened words with a mixture of English which I call Tagalish lol. I tried using a learning app to learn Tagalog but in reality most don't speak Tagalog formally like what the app teaches.

@@sabik6979I fully agree and understand all the problems you've had with learning Tagalog but from my language learning experience, learning from these overly formal sources can still give you a good base understanding of the language and get you much more familiar with the sounds, and then by living with your wife and trying to immerse yourself around the language I'm sure you can still make great progress :] I wish you luck with your journey brother

Just found your channel last night for first time ever, I think I watched 15 Colombia/brazil episodes and ended up staying up all night til I had to work at 5am watchin these. I LOVE traveling and learning about different people and how they live and act in different parts of the world, I was pretty suprised at how quickly you started speaking Spanish and Portuguese and stuff so fluently! I watched because Kurt was doing stuff that few others would try..(a white guy with a camera in areas where white guys did not go). The videos were edited, intense and you kept watching. The last several videos have been vacation videos. You keep watching thinking something is going to happen but nothing does. So yes no body forced me to watch, and yes I will try and watch again. But this last hour video could have been edited to a 20 min video. I would bet the farm that the average watch time for that video is less than 10 mins…
