The 2 things what are connected left and right, so 4 in total, are the power transistors. They are connected to thick metal what provide the heat dissipation

The advance acoustic streamer will work on every amplifier, even if it doesn't fit. Just place some short rca cables(female to male) between them....

I always use the the banana connectors but will keep this in mind if I ever switch to the spade connectors. 👍

Check the interal fuses, one i seen lookes blackened, fuses are always the first to check

By the way, it is always a good idea to peek under the hood ( bonnet ) of amplifiers to see how large the transformer is along with the size of the capacitors. It gives us a good idea how much speaker driver control any given amplifier has, and power reserves (headroom). I use this as a kind of a gauge. Of course, the power supply size doesn't dictate how any given amp is going to sound. The Creator has blessed us with two ears for that, thank goodness.

which vlog is about Quad 99 sound? I have one for sale for a good price near me and would like to know :) Great content by the way!

Hi, thanks. There is some more info in weekly clogs number 13 and 14 but I stil need to send them off to be repaired so there is no review yet. - I like their sound but that is very subjective of course. What loudspeakers will you use?

Hi Barista. Have you checked the fuses in the Quad? It might be time to tube roll your monoblocks. Cheers from Canada.

Hi, the Quad is working. It’s just making uncomfortable noises. Especially when I switch it on. But the fuses are okay. - Thanks for the tip 👍 - These tubes are dangerous. I am not going to play with them. I leave that to the repair guy. But just out of interest. These are tubes that were used in the old tube 😉 TV sets. Do you have any tube rolling experience with those kind of tubes?

Good equipment makes multiple connection in one post your equipment is lowfi not for the quality of WBT
