why are all of these people so hateful of annie clark? music is interpretative and this is how she feels she should perform a song. there's no bad or good. just keep your mean words to yourself so they only eat away at yourselves instead of spreading the negativity.

I know this is from a good few years back, but I love how the timidity vanishes once you have a guitar in your hand.

I may yet tattoo my 60 year old ass for the very first time with her name . This is genius. The way she actually plays the chords AND sings and then actively badgers the audience. She is so holistic and eclectic at the same time. I mean no disrespect to veterans but she saved my life in nam man @st_vincent for life Peace from Georgia

If she sang this in Ireland she wouldn't have to keep encouraging people to sing - some people in this crowd are clearly too hipster to try :)

It’s that thing where there is a song that was “produced” in a studio and lost so much of its original essence that it kind of just sounds like another song from its genre… and then it gets overplayed. And then someone comes along and brings out the original chords and melody and gives it some love and you finally get the song…. At least musically. Like Chris Cornell’s version of Billie Jean.

Um, where can I get the Guild version of an SG, though? Gotta know. It's cool she has her own guitar now, but I kind of miss seeing what cool other guitars she plays when I watch a live performance.
@rsean32815 жыл бұрын
It was called an SG-200 or 2000 or something like that, I had one that was all jacked up and eventually fell apart, saw another at a pawn shop in Chicago @ 20 years ago. This is the only other time seeing one. Okay apparently they still make them, Called an S-100, but you probably already know that

@uberamesful a break for what?
@dougthealligator10 жыл бұрын
She got a lot of the lyrics mixed up but it was still a pretty good cover nonetheless, odds are it was a little impromptu
@bonkobonkdo10 жыл бұрын
Nope she got the lyrics right. Don't think you know what you're talking about.
@kumoyuki6 жыл бұрын
deffo a bit impromptu. knowing what Annie *could* have done and comparing it with what she actually did (OMG, the guitar texture! talk about broken glass!) I feel like this choice was maybe made onstage, even :) My only criticism is that I want to hear her do a fully worked out cover now...

Pretty terrible version of a great song by a pretty fantastic artist with a prelude by a couple of people I admire. Color me confused. I googled this because she sang RITFW with Ed and the boys tonight in Dallas. I probably jumped the gun trying to find that here so fast after the show. BTW I would never leave you to sing alone.
@ericspring203310 жыл бұрын
well she doesnt actually play guitar.

@toddlavigne64417 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sticking up for. She's highly educated in music. This is her version of this song, and in my opinion, it's beautiful. Music is art.
@JsRf134 жыл бұрын
she sang it in the original key in the original vocal range. Eddie is a baritone and Annie is a mezzo, so there's bound to be some problems there. I think she probably could've shifted the key to accommodate her comfortable range, but I think that's the only issue I have with this. I still enjoyed it, and it would be cool af to hear an impromptu cover by Annie at a comedy show.
