Thanks Blue Thunder Brother. I just received the parts and plans for a blue plane in the mail over the last week. Our old work horse F6F Hellcat. I will probably introduce it in a video shortly, although I'm not sure when I will get to it. The queue is loading up.

Shop looks great Dan, I'm in Az. for the winter now so will have to try again for lunch in the spring. Finished my Flyi"n King and got the maiden done. Lot of control area on the ailerons, rudder, and elevator. Will have to tone them down abit for the next flight when I get home. Have a great winter and looking forward to the new videos. Meow to the cats.

Oh man, you are gonna miss all the snow and cold. I on the other hand I put a new heater/AC in my shop so now I can comfortably be out there building away. That's my plan. My Flying King is 95% complete, I am working on its markings right now (which is coming in my videos, very soon) and then it's ready for maiden.

the light probably would have been cheaper and better to get all new fixtures and up to date . but it’s cool to see the project that were lost in time excited to see them finished

The LED bulbs were actually not overly expensive, and the fixtures were already hard wired into the ceiling. All that needed to be done on each was to remove the ballast (which most of them were going bad) and splice the wires at the tombstones so that one end was hot and the other alternate. After doing the first two, the learning curve kicked in the additional 10 went pretty fast. I just love upgrading older things to a newer better use. The light from LED is so much brighter, and the longevity of the bulbs is like 10,000 hours.

Hey Dan, Just surfing around and found this video. Good luck on your new shop. You mentioned you might like to cover the one bench with Gypsum (wallboard/drywall). It works but is very hard to stick pins in. The ceiling tile "stuff" you would be better off with is Homesote. It's basically compressed paper mache'. It's used for soundproofing, comes in 4' x8' sheets. I've used it for years as a building surface. It's flat and last a long time. Just flip it over when it gets worn too much. Ed Martz

Hey Joisey Ed!!!! How are you doing old friend? I would love to find homosote but in our little town with Home Depot as the biggest provider we have for parts, they don’t seem to have it. I can’t even find that lightweight ceiling panel in white which would be awesome. I’ll keep looking. The pins are not a big issue for me as I use magnets and that second table with the metal door is going to be perfect for layouts and building from the table top up. But if I can find a piece of either the ceiling tile or homosote that would be the way to go. Hope all is well with you.

No longer in New Jersey. Moved to western Wisconsin 13 tears ago. LOL Maybe check with local lumber supply. See if they'll order a sheet of it if the cost isn't too much. Home Depot might too. Building supply prices are outrageous now. Needed a sheet of 4'x8'x1/2" cabinet grade Birch ply recently. Over a $100.00!!! Retired now, going on 14 years. Still building but not flying as much. Still haven't finished that Corsair, LOL. It's close, but back on the shelf.

I know but I’m always going to remember you where I found you. So you will always be Jersey Ed to me. So the Royal Corsair is still in construction. Well good. Those things are collectors items now. I have a Meister Corsair that has a partial fuse built. It will be so much easier to build in the new shop instead of the one bay garage. Maybe we can work on them together. Take care Ed.

Dan, that plastic stuff reminds me of the plastic people would put down to protect carpeting. I don't think it would be for flooring or tile underlayment, but maybe something in walls?

You have a TF Mentor in kit form. That is rare. Still looking for one myself. The PlanesGoneBy guy still hasn't added that TF kit yet. I like RC shop tours.

I have a video shot that I need to put together, of glassing a set of floats for Mark. I’ll see if I can crank that out soon.

The Rebel is now my go to kick around plane, an absolute joy to fly. I am so glad I changed the engine to the DLE 30cc, it is reliable and the perfect weight and power. Thanks for asking
