It's 2023 & I came here to hear "Is this the part you take my heart to wipe your feet on!" I didn't understand that line then, but boy! I understand it now. That's what makes this type of music classic. You grow to truly understand what the lyrics really mean. This type of artistry is truly missed. I agree, Loose Ends never received their just due because their sound was truly unique.

My uncle used to jam this every day when he used to pick me up from summer school in the early 80's. Everytime i hear it, my mind immediately go back to then when as soon as he started the car up, the tape would continue on with this song from shutting the car off last. I guess he really loved this song. It created a fun memory for me. Now I slow down, cause i can't take the heat in my age. Because i am the age now, he was then.

This goes so hard...born in 1981 I remember when this came out....I was like 6 or 7 and growing up on the west side of Chicago...you would see mogs driving with their Monte Carlo, Buick Regal, Olds 9-8, etc...back then nobody had foreign whips and this would be jamming on their cassette tape with this playing. That base line beat so hard...you know what time it is when the intro drops. Man they don't make feel good music like this anymore.

Josiel de Assis, I think celacanto is referring to "this is what America is lacking today," implies this is American, and it isn't. Though saying that, the original comment's sentiment has a deeper meaning, and I'm pretty sure there is good soulful music being created in the USA today it's just different from 80's music. 🙂
