But the point being that most white people, even ones ostensibly doing financially okay, are usually only a paycheck or two away from not being able to pay the rent or the mortgage. That proportion of white people vastly outnumbers the proportion who are financially stable in the long-term. That's why I find the US capitalist system so flawed, in that it's not even that beneficial to people making a decent living - let alone those born into poverty.
