Thank you! Love the nostalgia. I was obsessed with Warhammer the moment I saw my first Games Workshop back in about 97, but given the price points and my age (5 at the time), it wasn't realistic my parents would spend that kind of money or trust I understood what it all was. I had a 90's issue of White Dwarf I think I read over 200 times, year after year, (it's currently in a time capsule I buried 15 years ago, thats how much it meant) until these were released and were the perfect entry point of price and was utter heaven given my LOTR obsession and finally getting to start my Warhammer journey.

Very much got a nostalgia trip watching this, fantastic magazines and a entry into the hobby for many i suspect. Some of the content in these was fantastic, from terrain tutorials to the special battle rules. Looking forward to seeing more and hopefully some deep dives into the terrain projects and battle reports.

Funny enough I was have a tidy up in my loft yesterday and came across all the mags and figures, the vast majority are still unpainted including the scenery and the tomb plinth. Look forward to this series.

This is awesome ken. So nostalgic. Had all these magazines and figures. Even had that magnifying glass and hobby kit. This was where I got my barlins tomb display stand. This is going to be a great little series to follow. Goblins look awesome aswell. 😁👍

Still got loads of these figures Ken as did collection for my son when they all came out...and just recently he's got interested all over again...so bin doing a few elfs & goblins again...lol

Unfortunately, Battle Games In Middle Earth was never available to buy here in the US so I never owned any of them.

I collected this magazine as a teenager and I’ve just rescued the minatures from my parents loft. Havent found the magazines yet (might have been chucked). I do have a question for you though. I seem to remember a set of basic rules on a double sided card that came with one of the early issues. I used that whenever I was gaming as it was enough for beginners to learn the rules. Do you by any chance have a copy off this? I can’t find my old one and my hours of searching online haven’t yielded any results either...

Great review! I had no idea that this series of magazines existed. I did bury the original game when it came out and some of the figures from the first film, but I’ve never got around to painting them. Will watch your ongoing series with interest and see if I can find my old models 👍

Great video mate, I had most of these as a kid but they got lost or thrown out over the years unfortunately. I’m really interested in collecting these again, do you or anyone know where I can buy the issues new? I’m finding it really hard to track them down :(
