17:38 The way I interpreted it was that Voldemort chose to go to Harry's house and send Death Eaters to Neville's purely our of chance. Harry Potter was technically a Half Blood in the way that he had muggle ancestors from his mother, but no to the extent you're thinking since Voldemort had a muggle parent while Harry's direct parents were both wizards. The whole point of Voldemort choosing Harry is meant to be ironic, that something so major and influential was done out of just ordinary coincidence. That's just my interpretation though, so varies between the reader/viewer.

Well, Harry _is_ quite cunning, often able to find loopholes to exploit. The way he helped free Dobby is a prime example. He's also adept at delayed gratification and patiently waiting for the best opportunity. Cunning is very applicable to snakes, especially venomous ones. They cannot move fast, they have very limited means to defend themselves, and venom is very protein-intensive for their bodies to make, so they really do not want to waste it without need. They only use it to defend themselves if they feel cornered, if they cannot escape or frighten off an enemy (which is why many venomous snakes are brightly colored or have identifying traits like the hoods of cobras). When using venom to hunt, they first make absolutely sure that they can both strike their prey and not have it run out of their reach before they die. They want to get the most food while using the very least amount of venom possible. It's also why they'll go after eggs at any opportunity. Wait, listen, and seize the best opportunity to strike that won't get you seriously hurt. That's the Slytherin way.

Voldemort's death was also supposed to be the most human death despite his best efforts to remain immortal. The final fight just felt a little empty. They dragged the first part of the book out so much and the second part had just felt so rushed

Another mistake he made was sending Nagini into battle! He should have kept her beside him at all times when he knew the other horcuxes were gone, he might have even killed Harry as it woulda been voldemort and nagini vs Harry with Harry having no way to kill nagini 🤷 if she hadn't gone wandering neville wouldn't have got her

Ive always wondered because of voldemorts nature, we have only seen sectumsempra twice on camera once in a non canon fan film (that was great btw) called severus snape and the mauraders and once in canon on draco malfoy, i wonder if voldemort took a full on sectumsempra directly to the face would he even bleed? Like his body is weird its obv something evil grown/cloned by dark power like i just wonder how spells would effect voldemort as its not something we really see until deathly hallows and the mini duel in O.O.T.P with Dumbledore doesnt really count as it didnt even last 5 minutes and dumbledore didnt really land any real heavy curses he mainly just contained him in that water and defended a lot not much attack... Just a thought 🤔 Edit - (again I know sorry lol just so much to add) like could you destroy voldemorts body with a killing curse or something? Wouldn't destroying his body THEN going after his horcruxes be a better strategy? I mean he couldn't defend them personally and his death eaters were less useful than a chocolate teapot at best of times. There's a lot of questions when it comes to voldemort

Voldemort do not fear death because of death but because it's something that takes away his power. If you want to rule for eternity you need to make yourself immortal first. That's pure logical.

You should see the original design they had for him in the first film. It was deemed too scary for a children's film.
