I wanted to contest/discuss what you said about Elves looking down on other races. According to Elves of Golorian after returning to the world elves came to understand and appreciate the differences between them and other races and realize that their near immortality makes it impossible for other races to have the same experience or viewpoint as them and they respect that having a shorter life forces different priorities. Intresting specifically is Elves viewpoint on Dwarves "Elves and dwarves are essentially friendly in the sense that good fences make good neighbors. Both have been on golorian far longer than any other major race, though dwarves were underground for much of the time that elves ruled the surface. Some expect such elementally different peoples to clash, but in fact their compete lack of interest in each others territory and commercial pursuits makes conflict rare, and the two get along fine as different types of isolationists. Elves appreciate dwarven strengths that compensate for elven weaknesses. Their hearty builds resistance to magic, and willingness to dig and mine(activities most elves find dull and maddening) are all welcome traits. While not all elves are so broad-minded, most prefer to make use of such differences than fight over them. The dwarves' dour, lawful bent does sometimes chafe elven sensibilities, but few elves bother taking it seriously."

Hey there! sorry for the long wait on the reply, exams had us all busy. For your first point, I want to point out that while page 2 of Elves of Golarion does say that they don't look down on other races, this is merely because they think that they (by nature of their long lives) are superior. They think of themselves as a whole other level and tend to dismiss the opinions of others: " it’s hard not to be dismissive of someone whose entire lineage can come and go in an eyeblink, and who won’t live long enough to truly understand any given discipline. It’s nothing personal, as far as the elves concerned-just bad luck on the part of the other races." - Elves of Golarion, page 2. Perhaps we should have been more clear on the distinction between looking down on someone as inherently inferior and merely being dismissive of their ideas and methods due to their possibly superior expertise, but I felt they were similar enough while writing the script. Sorry if It lead to you getting the wrong idea. As for the dwarves-elves relationship, this kills me because I knew it was going to be interpreted the wrong way. While they have had some animosity, vaguely mentioned on Dwarves of Golarion: "Dwarves produce armor and weaponry of a quality beyond the capabilities of humans, or even elves (though the latter might dispute such claims)." - Dwarves of Golarion, page 5 "Among the forested foothills, dwarven lumbermills work night and day to procure enough timber and firewood to support the continual tunneling operations, and to provide light and heat below the surface-an Industry which annoys the elves of nearby Kyonin, though they have learned that it is not worth the trouble to try to force the dwarves to stop." -Dwarves of Golarion, Pages 12-13. I didn't mean to imply there have been wars or a general Elven-Dwarven hatred, but that perhaps they have a bit more of a competitive relation than say, with gnomes. Based on that, we played to the famous Dwarven/Elven rivalry of the LOTR saga for laughs, and I hoped the Image of the races playing a game together would help imply we were playing it up for laughs. Apparently, it wasn't as clear as I thought. Again, sorry. However, I am really flattered that you took the time to challenge us on the points that we got wrong. It's really nice to know that our videos are inspiring people to read the books for themselves and find out more about Golarion!

I know the "gnomes are a little ADD" line is supposed to be about how hyperactive they are, but it suddenly gave me insight into what the bleaching might feel like. Because while it can't kill us, understimulation is a big problem for people with ADHD. I have a habit of picking my skin and fingernails just to keep stimulated at all moments. I have so many sores it borders on self harm. And when I watch these videos, I'm usually sewing. I can't really put understimulation into words, but it *hurts*. So for someone who understands more of the naunce of ADHD instead of the pop culture depictions, depicting the day to day effects of bleaching as ADHD in a gnome character would work really well.

12:00 Far from it, The first world is where although nothing dies, nothing makes sense and everything is weird. From what I understand the real reason why they left was well... They where bored but mostly from not dying. They wanted to try death and eventually got cursed to be separated from the First world never to return and to be mortal.

I asked one of our researchers, Anri, about that. he said that's true, but the reason we omitted it from the video was that it was a spoiler for pathfinder kingmaker, which was brand new at the time.

To further clarify, the information on the true origin of the gnomes was not known to us at the time, because it was not confirmed anywhere that I had read, all we had were in-world theories. The kingmaker CRPG did confirm the reason gnomes came to golarion but that was after this video was published.

I doubt many would care, but my fantasy world that I designed has a few different "core races" of the main story continent, incl.: "Mongolian Orks", "Scandinavian 7-foot tall Elves", "Anklyosaurid-like Dwarves", "Industrialist Halflings", "Shadow Gnomes", "Assortment of Bird-people", "Pick-a-Flavour Humans", and... the "mascot race", "Axolotl-people"

@@Lucius_Chiaraviglio The ancient Egypt part is probably just myth and as for the Romans, I don't remember them ever specifically targeting Jews for slavery. I know the Romans did destroy the 2 Jewish temple in Jerusalem, but that was because the Jews were rebelling.

Fankas2000 Slavery was extremely widespread in Antiquity, so that most likely really happened, even if hardly anything else in there is. As for the Roman Empire, if they didn't want rebellions, they shouldn't have conquered other people.
