I have had this one in the house for a while, but was waiting for a discount period to publish the review. A solid watch for the cash, with a few obvious compromises. The Seagull movement is surprisingly accurate though, and the glass is definitely sapphire. If you can't cope with an Invicta, this might do the trick. Cheers, Jody

what's the difference between the Loreo vs the Tevise? They look exactly a like, I mean like twins..

@@Etruscan70 the loreo has a way better automatic movement, it's made from 316l stainless steel, the whole thing, the tevise only has a stainless steel case back, the loreo has a screw down case back and crown with the proper rubber gaskets giving it 200 meter water resistance, it has an un scratch able sapphire crystal where the tevise has a very scratch able mineral crystal, the lume on the loreo is better, the loreo has solid end links in the bracelet making it more durable as well. You pretty much get a way better watch in the loreo for only about forty more bucks. Great deal for about $65-$75, but for about $250 you can get a decent entry level Swiss made sport watch with eta 2824-2 brand new with the same great specs on jomashop. Com. Which is gray market. So my advice would be to save about $250 and get a nice Swiss made automatic diver brand new from jomashop. Com. And the promo code ad10 will get you $10 off anything from jomashop with no minimum purchase amount. Hope that helps brother. Cheers.

Bought my Loreo Hulk (I too really enjoy the green) a few weeks ago based on this video. Prices have gone up a little ... got mine on Amazon for around $100.00 (US). Everything you mentioned is spot on ... wears great, works great ... in short a real winner. Love the channel ... keep up the good work.

I was able to fit the movement into the Loreo case, but due to the NH35 being thinner and the support ring being incompatible, I was unable to fully close the watch and seat the movement. I will need to find a solution to this. It's a difference of maybe a few microns. The stem fits the case, and it will seat, but it isn't properly supported in the case. I will give the NH35 one thing. It's amazingly accurate and very well built. I want to thank you for giving me the inspiration to try and do this. The project is not a done deal yet. I still have another set coming in, and I will try to adapt the movement support to the Loreo.

I picked up mine for the $63.99 stated in the review and was pleasantly impressed with the look of my Hulkwoo! It’s really attractive and wears very nicely and comfortably on my 7 1/4” wrist. The bezel is a bit wobbly but expected at this price point. There is also a Max Bill Chronoscope homage by Loreo as well on Ali Express....maybe another review is in order young Jody?.

Had mine for about 3 and a half months. I got the black/red and it looks nice. Came missing a spring for the bracelet and it wasn't attached well on the other side. Once I fixed the pins and sized it it's been solid as a rock.

Just got myself a Lorier "Daytona/Yachtmaster" and like the NTH it combines my favourite parts of several watches. My beloved Yachtmaster bezel, the dial of a daytona which is full of complications day date month 24h, sapphire crystal, massive links, massive end links, screw down crown screw down pushers, screw down case back, all in all 69$. I am in love.

You mean loreo. Not a lorier. Lorier is a superior microbrand, although it does not come with a zaphire crystal. I was going to buy a lorier hydra but for 400 bucks and no zaphire I opted for an Armand Nicolet ma2.

I love how easy removing the pins from the links were. I got no "jiffy bag". Fancy box and a pillow with the loreo numbered warranty card. Bezel is like butter. Amazing for the money.

Well, as a matter of fact, i just recently bought a Loreo diver, too. But I got the blue Shark Series for around 80 US$. I picked that one, because it's not a Sub hommage. 200m, Miyota, same case as yours, sapphire, different bezel insert and dial. And it came in a box. Quite happy with it, decent built quality. Lume is ok, also. Will be my summer holiday beach watch.

Had mine for 8 month now, probably off by less than 8s a day. To me its not noticable. And seagull movements arent bad, ST16 is an old movements, their best ones are ST21 and ST18, i think cost price for ST21 is quite a bit higher than NH35.

I'm a week into owning a loreo yachtona with seagull movement. Its performance is off the chart. Less than .5 a second fast per day and looks awesome. Sapphire, 200wr.awesome.

I’ve had two Loren for 3 years, paid 65$, I live in China. They are solid, good bracelets, but clasp is stamped. I did get in nice boxes! Bezel is solid on one but a bit loose on the other. One is Rolex homage, the other Omega. For the price, great!

I have the Loreo coming in, and I have a black bezel empty Loreo case on the side. I ALSO have an Invicta with a 40mm black Dial and a Seiko NH35A SII movement. I plan on swapping the internals from the Invicta to the empty Loreo case. My goal... Sapphire in the Front, and Seiko in the back. I know it's a Frankenstein build, but your video makes it sound so darned tasty.

Had mine 1 month. Runs great. Looks great for the price ($58 US). The script on the dial looks more silver than white. Came with bracelet adjustment tool. Feels great on wrist. I often forget it's there.

there is an AD of invicta where i live, but its so overpriced that as someone who is not a diver, or james bond, a Loreo seems like a very good everyday watch

I got the Invicta Pro Diver, I believe the model 280B?, two tone gold automatic, a year or so ago. Amazon had it on sale for $56.00. I never liked the gawdy looks of most Invicta watches, however the Pro Diver looks pretty cool. What amazes me is the quartz like accuracy of the Invicta, and how great the rotor works. Just strap it on and go. I'm sure the Loreo is a decent watch also, but for around the same price i'll stick with my Invicta.

I hope they give you a kick back! I got coupons. I bought this one in BLUE and the mated Day/Date version in GREEN for a few $$ more. With my new buyer coupon I paid $112 USD for the 2. I really wanted a Pagani but I'll wait to see how they do with this order first. PLEASE read the manual that comes with the Diamond meter II, You should hold the meter 90 degs from the watch face. The probe is flat on the end and makes better contact. It DOES make a difference. Readings are more stable. Cheers and THANKS for the heads up. I usually get to the party late and miss out. NOT this time!

I remember your challenge at the end of a review for a dive watch around $110 to find something on Amazon prime priced below that which had both a metal bracelet and a sapphire crystal. While this is not on Amazon I do believe that you may have found the best value in a new dive watch homage under $100 meeting those criteria (and I have been keeping my eyes peeled). I think the only thing that can beat it is something with the lume pip on the bezel. I too really like the green hulk dive watches. Good reviews thanks.

I had this one in green also. Bought it in August 2018. It held up really well, no issues at all. I recently sold it on though, after getting a San Martin SN001. As well as going for Hamtun H2 that you recommended. I think I've asked this before, but will you be reviewing some of the higher end Chinese watches on Ali? Such as the Reef Tiger and the previously mentioned San Martin? Today I received my Reef Tiger RGA8238... It's absolutely gorgeous. I went for the blue and rose gold one.

Hey Jody! Thanks for this video. I’ve been wearing one of the DLC type models on a NATO for several months for work. I’m a police officer and it takes a beating quite well. However, the cyclops is NOT sapphire. So it will scratch. Poly watch for that. Also mine came in a decent box.

I just received this watch and have only had this watch on my wrist for 4 hours. I removed 5 links and it weighed in at 147g. This watch is built really well. I've had one for almost a year. Mine came in the Black PVC finish and I haven't been able to chip it or scratch it up at all. The one thing I didn't like about it was the bezel insert so I brought a ceramic bezel insert from eBay and it took the look to a whole other level. One this about the Seagull ST16. It's been reliable and feels like quality to operate when winding and setting the time/date. It feels expensive so this watch has become one of my go to beaters over my Casio Duro, Vostok and my SKX007.

Thanks to this review, I started watching out for Loreo subs. In Sept. 2019, when the price briefly dropped to $58 CDN, I bought two of them (blue dial and all black version). They even came in a presentation box. I gave away the blue dial version, but I have kept the black one. It keeps great time and still looks good - although it's not my daily driver. The only thing letting Loreo down is the weak lume on the too-small hands (which I'm planning to have replaced) and bracelet is a little sharp. Since discovering your channel, I have purchased four watches all based on your reviews. I haven't been disappointed yet. Thanks!

Just picked up a sterile dial Bliger Sub Homage from eBay. With sapphire, ceramic bezel inc. pip solid link all brushed bracelet with screw pins and a very nice Rolex style clasp with the "Oysterglide" extension. Powered by the NH35A SII £64 Inc import fees. I went with boring black but I'll probably change the dial. I bought it to practice my "watchmaking" skills on but am rather impressed with it. Rather by one of these than an Invicta I think. No box here either. Great video, great channel.

Bought this watch in May 2018, still going strong. If you like Chinese specials you will not regret having this watch. I've put it on a jubilee bracelet which makes it look so much better.

such loreo on aliexpress, there is a daytona dial driver with yachtmaster bezel. Looks quite interneresting, it's not a chronograph though, it's like a GMT because the subdials are a 12hr clock and another 24hr clock allowing you to track a total of 3 timeszones.

Great video! I purchased one because of this video thank you! My only problem is I ordered the blue one as I liked the pictures but when I got it and it looks more purple than blue. I contacted AliExpress and they Ofer me to return it for full refund but i dint want to deal with shipping so I kept it. Overall it feels great just the color is not what it showed on the picture shame really!

I got this Loreo watch from April 2019 until... now (June 2022). It has stopped working a few days ago, after running flawlessly for three years, with a very nice power reserve (I could leave it alone for nearly two days until needing to be worn). I loved that bargain watch. The bezel scratched very quickly (in less than 4 months) but the glass was extremely solid (not a single wear and tear in three years) and the wristband remained in good shape (aside from some crappy link metal bars which went away and needed replacement). It was the perfect toolwatch to remain classy without fearing to wreck a several thousand worth object. I just sold it for ten bucks to a guy willing to repair it. I'm already missing its vivid green color!

Can i ask were you a heavy work user or just a casual wear user? I'm thinking of getting this loreo, but if it isn't durable then that's another concern for me..

@@reinerraditya5280 Casual. I wore it mostly at home, not under heavy conditions, never used it while swimming either. I guess it started behaving incorrectly when I wore it while cycling (urban only, not offroad), I don't know if automatic movements are really immune to huge bumps and shakes you can sometimes have when you're on a bike. If you're after a durable Submariner homage watch, I'd rather suggest upgrading your budget and go up to $300, and go for the Steinhart Ocean 1. Which was, back when I got the Loreo, the cheapest 1:1 homage with a Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement.

Thanks for the review, Jody! If I were to get an affordable Submariner homage, I'd get this one! But, not the green one. Although to give it some character, I'd change the hands considering I'm not that big a fan of the Mercedes hands. Oh, and I love the larger indices as opposed to the smaller ones on the Invicta Pro-Diver!

Had the Invicta, good solid watch, but sold it when I picked up the Loreo. The Loreo version looks and feels just as solid, but has a much nicer more comfortable bracelet and latch, and none of the over-gaudy extra touches like the large engraving on the side of the Invicta. I’d bet the movement isn’t going to be as good as the Invicta, but the rest of the Loreo I like better.

Bought this exact model shortly after watching this video sometime in 2019. Wore it a lot, loved it and got a lot of compliments on it. Earlier this year it just stopped working for some reason, so I purchased the same one. As soon as it arrived the "broken one" started working again. Now I have 2. I have no regrets.

Just ordered the Loreo off Amazon. It was a toss up between Loreo subby, pagani designs gmt and Invicta pro diver. This will be my first automatic piece. The Invicta has the seiko movement but, as Mentioned in the video, has mineral crystal. The Pagani had sapphire but only 100m water resistance. I know that would suffice for what I’ll do with it, but I needed that 200m to justify the purchase of a new watch. Also a sapphire crystal, but ho-hum movement. I’m just getting my feet in the door, but next I’d like to move up to a Citizen automatic pro master diver to match up with my quartz version.

So, I ordered one of these watches last summer, it never came, I contacted the seller and more or less was told to piss off. Assumed I had been beaten out of $70. The watch finally arrived, almost six months after being ordered! It is a fine watch, mine did actually come in a decent looking box with a plastic sizing device.

I've gone for the day/ date complication, non cyclops version. A bit more expensive but I'm not overly keen on cyclops on watches. I did buy a Phoibos quartz subby but the lume pip fell off after a week. Might go for the 43mm Pagani subby as well once payday rolls around.

So my watch arrived today. First negative was I completely forgot about the import duty here in the UK, so with handling fee it was another £20, so overall I paid £90 for this watch. Was it worth it? I'm a little unconvinced. It looks good but there are a few QC quirks. The day wheel doesn't quite align with the window, but may improve in time, the 6 o'clock index isn't completely straight. Other than that it looks good. Brushing of the stainless steel could better, as could the lume, and the rotating bezel is so stiff I can barely move it. Not sure I can wholly recommend it, but hoping to have more positive thoughts in a few months of wearing.

Another great review, I have compared this one agaist the Invicta Pro Diver, personally I've had better service from the NH35 and 36 movements. I would tend to fall on that side of the scale. I'm not hard on my watches so the crystal isn't as important to me.

The thing is i'm not sure this is really 20atm as stated. On some AliExpress pages that have this watch, it states 5atm. Also if you go to the manufacture website it also states 5atm. I think the 20atm is just there for show, and doesn't actually reflect it's water resistance. I'd love to be wrong though, if it could be proven by some pressure test.

So I bought two Loreos and I discovered firstly, that the date adjust was difficult to engage, so I suspected it has a small area of gear mesh. This proved to be an issue later as the first watch I bought stopped being able to adjust the date. My suspicion was confirmed when the second one also broke not long thereafter. Neither is in a state that is wearable now because of this. First model was a single date model and the second was a day of the week and date, neither of which are adjustable due to the internal breakage. I own many Invicta watches and have yet to have any similar issues. I paid the going rate on Amazon for the Loreos which was significantly more than your Ali listed prices, but I feel the quality of the Invitcta seems more internally robust.

Exactly same issue with my Loreo as well... Not able to adjust the date after a month of usage... You get what you pay for :)

Follow up: regret #1 - that I didn't get a "full-on" homage in black only.. the red on the bezel (while I do kind of dig) is distracting to the design of the watch. Also, after ~2 weeks of office wearing, the bezel someone became near frozen - and takes a pair of pliers to turn now..

There are tons of these Subbie homages from lesser known brands but I think I'll stick with Invicta because, for better or worse, Invicta has brand recognition and I like them.

One of the drawbacks you stated for the loreo was the seagull movement ... since better quality movements can be gotten fairly inexpensively - what is a better movement that would fit in the case of the. Loreo ... how easy would it be to install?

Enjoy your videos. I've been eyeing this watch for a while to be used as my daily beater watch but the only thing holding me back is the Seagull movement. In your experience are those movements more unreliable or less durable than their Japanese counterparts?

I've got the green one too, and wearing it now as I tap this out. Had it nearly two years since watching this video and still consider it money well spent. Not my every day watch but something I wear maybe once or twice a week. Very comfortable SS bracelet and the Sapphire glass and the bracelet is still unmarked. It's a keeper. Love the visible movement on the case back too. In contrast is the Pagani homage 'Batman' I bought not long after. Nothing lined up in every sense. Asked for a refund from Ali and no reply. Sold it and took the hit. There you go, thanks for the video.

Think I will stick to my Invicta, sapphire or not. Had over a year and gone swimming, snorkeling and many other activities and it hasn't missed a beat, or got a scratch on it all, like most of my non sapphire crystal watches....

Hi - I just received my green Loreo and it is beautiful. My problem is that I need to remove some links in the bracelet and it looks as if they used tiny screws. Is it really a screwed in link or a push type? None of the screwdrivers in my watch tool kit has a screwdriver as small as what the Loreo bracelet has. Loreo did send a push type of tool. Thanks for your great reviews. Bob
