What on earth are you talking about. He did not shove her away. He kept his arm around her the whole time she was totally included. WOW, this is crazy... If you don't believe in God, it will make you question, and if you do believe in God, it will affirm His presence... What happened? Well, this morning, when I stirred at 7:00 a.m., I sat up in bed and, out of the blue, asked Siri about Loretta Lynn... "How old is she?" I said, but without ANY IDEA that she had passed away... None. I sat awhile thinking of her, of what a sweet lady she is... For unknown reasons, my thoughts turned to her... Then, amazingly, from Mom, I received a text: Rest In Peace, Loretta Lynn... 😳. Did God tell my subconscious, He had taken her home? I believe He did, and, yes, it's AMAZING!! 🎻🙏🎻

Simple music arrangements accompanying simple lyrics written by an essentially simple country woman for simple folks equals GOLD MINE! Good on Lorettie. Her songs were obviously autobiographical, and in this particular song I must conclude that Ole Doolittle came home drunk one night and tried to put the freak on Loretta, but she wasn't havin' it, eh? hahaha

NPR aired a Fresh Air interview from 2010. My 23 year old son was in the car, and was STUNNED that I remembered words to songs I’d not heard in decades. They were songs that I’d heard on the radio. Mom was a tremendous fan of Loretta Lynn. I HAD TO WATCH COAL MINOR’S DAUGHTER. LOL. HAD A UNION ELECTRICIAN DAD, so Norma Rae was required as well. ❤️ I learned a lot.

The added beauty in this is in addition to addressing him she was also sending a msg to the woman / women her husband was known to mess around with. And that msg is that “idk what he’s telling you , but he always comes home lovin on me after being with you. It happens every time. You mean nothing , nothing more than a temporary good time. “. Fist City & you Ain’t Woman Enough were her direct msg’s . She took care of business r short , too the point and you didn’t mess with her … and she cd and wd back it too. … yeah… In addition to being the female GOAT of country music … she my hero , lol

The respect for Loretta came from writing these songs. They had more personality than anything male/female, country or rock. Men looked at her in awe. She was a one woman wrecking ball unlike Miley Cyrus.

Waylon Jennings talked about meeting her when he was a DJ and she was going to stations promoting herself. He said “she sounded like she looked”. That’s summing her up. She’s authentic. The real deal. Not phony warbling and whining like you hear a lot these days. I’ll always remember when she came into the rec center on my base in Germany and she walked by the stairs as I was coming down. I could have ran my fingers through her hair she was so close.
