It's awesome because Will Ramos did say that he was _"channeling the spirit essence of Dickie Allen"_ when he improvised those insane pig squeals near the end. According to him it was all a one-take where the band said do something crazy here, and that was the result. Didn't disappoint.

Guilty here. Sometimes I feel kinda manic while listening to music. Today while hearing a song of Lorna Shores I produced tears and felt a gorilla in my chest. I just wanted to scream so bad, but was out in the open so obviously couldn't. I think the tears were kinda the result of the repression of the energy of the missed emotion of releasing the scream, because I definitely wasn't sad. Neither angry, kinda ecstatic! Music is truly magic.
@crazydud3380
@crazydud3380 7 ай бұрын
Of course that's normal. Music has been moving people to tears since the dawn of man. It may be less typical to have that reaction to deathcore, but this band also includes a lot of melancholy melody and even symphony in their music, so they are pretty unique in the genre.

I gotta admit I like this "theatrical" deathcore, Ramos, Alex Terrible, Travis Ryan, they are definitely making vocals interesting. This song the way it's mixed and it sounds like they're in a big room with the echo definitely gives this song some real darkness.
@Dat1frog
@Dat1frog 2 жыл бұрын
It's interesting to see this perspective as the mixing is what makes me dislike the song. It's always interesting to see how subjective music really is and how stuff I'm not fond of can make it more enjoyable for someone else.

Lorna Shore and Slaughter to Prevail are both unique in their way. Lorna is quite symphonic, like mixing deathcore with Epica or something, and Slaughter are basically nu deathcore (the nu metal influence is obvious, especially Iowa-era Slipknot). Cattle Decapitation I really don't like, for reasons other than the music itself, but Ryan is an S+ tier vocalist, for sure.

your channel is definitely in the top tier of reaction channels. I love your channel mainly because you actually have insightful shit to say about the music, and you have the chops to back up what you're talking about. But then you also have moments like your reaction to that final breakdown, which is absolutely perfect. Having heard the song before and knowing what to expect, and watching you go through that journey the first time, as each stage of the insanity unfolds, that's why reaction videos exist in the first place. You absolutely nailed it.

Been a fan of Lorna Shore since Maleficium in 2013, They have a knack for picking some crazy talented vocalists. I caught wind of Will Ramos a few years ago and when I learned he was touring with Lorna after CJ... I LOST MY MIND. Thinking of how good this band could be with him in it. I'm so glad these guys have found an audience because they make some of the most incredible "blackened deathcore" on the market. Sick video Kardavox! As someone who has been casually teaching himself to scream over the last 10 years, your explanations of where the individual sounds come from is absolutely spot on. Literally took me years to understand where to place screams and techniques that you just easily explained in seconds. Also, doing the examples in screams AND in normal singing makes it so simple to catch. I wish I had your explanations a long time ago. It would've made things much easier. Awesome review and instruction. Thank you!
