One is a tad surprised at the lack of comments, particularly from two of the genuinely nicest Scottish folks on the planet.. From this Scottish gent may i say, thank you lorraine for a delightful interview, and Sir Billy, sir, you are the epitome' of a all round fabby dude, Not that you would remember moi', in a much crammed tae the gunnels Scotia Tavern, twas a Fri/Sat nite decades ago, we left as soon as 'final beel' went and hurried up to the Montrose folk club so as to get decent seat (it was either a seat or the floor) happily waiting for The Legend Hamish Imlach, can picture him still sittin on his stool on that wee stage, bottle a coke by his side, which was more Bacardi than coke... Good times indeed, so many great folk singers on that wee stage ....

My late mother's ancestry via the Macphersons, Bells, Grants and Gordons rather predisposes me to Billy's style of comedy - utterly unique and genuinely funny with never the need to resort to the crude level of the lavatory; the refined level, yes, but never crude!

I can HIGHLY recomend the book, or better yet, the audiobook read by the man himself.
