Best wishes to you both. Starting a new chapter in your life. It is a lot paperwork and stress to move. I moved from my birthplace Amsterdam to US as a 12year old and remember my parents talking about how much paperwork and health checks . I was sad that our belongings was sold. We only came with a few suitcases. Our move was in 09- 57. We had to have a sponsor also. Ended up in South Jersey. Been in the same town since I arrived. Went from a big city to a small town. Was a major adjustment for the whole family. I couldn’t speak a word of English but learned in school. We still spoke our home language in the house unless someone came over. Time flies.
