I said it before and I'll say it again.... You are amazing! The main highlights of my year so far was the birth of my little Grand Niece and finding you and the village. You call us inspiring, yet you have lit a fire inside I didn't even know I had. This book is a treasure, as they all are. I love it!!! I can't wait to see your next adventure. Thanks for sharing your delightfully creative mind with us ♥

Im a personal gardener so this is a busy time for me getting everyones yards cleaned out. So I haven't been able to see many of your vids. We are having lots of rain here in Kansas so I am getting a chance to get caught up. I can't wait to get back in my studio and make some book pages using your inspiration..

Beautiful, love your book. I am working on my last page in my first altered book! And then repairing the spine! I don't know why, but I talk to my book! I told it that it will be okay and as good as new when I'm done with the repair! Well maybe I do know, it's part of moi!

So nice to see your finished book. I just started following you a few months ago and had never even heard of altered books until several years ago but it was not on my radar to even try it. I am however starting to get addicted to your fun projects. Yesterday I just finished making my own version of your fabric flower and corrugated cardboard stems project. Mine was smaller only four flowers but I wanted to see how I did with it, and it turned out so cute I can't wait to make another one! I need to do some more "research" into the altered book idea and see if I could attempt one too. They're so much fun looking but I still haven't figured out what the purpose of them is? Other than to showcase so many beautiful art projects in one place. How did this get started? My left brain wants to know.my right brain side says "so what just go have FUN!"...LOL Thank you again for your time and attention and generous sharing.

you better listen to that right brain i jean....lol! i have no idea how these got started....i am not even sure who planted the seed in me...lol...i took a book making class from Sharon Payne Bolton and that is what started my 'book making' journey....and the altered books are a great 'small' canvas to play on...that i can carry around with me...until they get so fat that they do not like to travel anymore...lol! i do sell the books.....yay! so i jean....leave your left brain outside the door and....go create, go play, go have fun!!!

Hi LorriMarie. Such a fun, fun book! At one point when we were working on another page in the book, I spied something-something big and long sticking out of the book and wondered: what are they? Now I know that it was fingers from those painted hands which I spied. Yay! You answered my question! Thanks loads for the walk through. The story of the little girl with the painted hands has sure made an impression on many of us.

the 'hands' were inspired by a member or our 'village' jacqueline....and yes...along with the story book...so much fun!!! i am avoiding cleaning up my studio...but i must today...i will set the timer for 10 minutes and do the nasty deed 10 minutes at a time! i can do that! see you on the table when i find it tiina!!!!

@@lorrimarie2002 I have an energetic and fun loving 2 year old, so I try and do a little here and there. I find artwork therapeutic as well as satisfying. I usually watch your video's at nap time or after little one is in bed. I find you relaxing and so enjoyable to watch. I love the fact that everything you use is repurposed and up-cycled! I don't eat eggs, but I really liked the outcome using the shells and, you would think that it's relatively easy to get your hands on some eggshells, right? Nope! I almost went and bought a carton and even tried thin sea shells - too rigid, unfortunately. I have asked friends, family, neighbours, but I guess 'crafting with eggshells' isn't foremost on everyone's mind, and they forget I've requested them. Either that, or they think they're doing me a favour, saving me from developing a hoarding issue.

SOMETIMES YOU USED TEXTURE PASTE AND SOMETIMES GESSO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE I HAVE NEVER USED TEXTURED PASTE- SOMETIME THE GESSO IS THIN SOMETIMES THICKER WHAT DO YOU USED ? THAT BOOK IS UNREAL AND FABULOUS THANKS KITTIE

if i want something thicker i use the texture paste...i make my own texture paste and love it....there is a video on that...of course! lol....and the gesso...i buy it by the bucket so it gets thicker the longer it sits....i hope that helps answer your questions kittie...keep watching and keep asking!!! see you on the table kittie!

Holy smokes! That book is beyond fat! How about making it a vertical roll a dex? The pages that go together could remain attached together. This is such a beautiful book that it needs to be more easily seen. I am in a bossy mood today. Usually I am very quiet. Really!
