Rams haven’t had a first round pick since 2016 and have been to the playoffs 7 times and been to the Super Bowl twice. They’ve been pretty good at the draft.

It doesn’t matter you guys just don’t get it, the Rams felt Fiske was a borderline first round pick, so giving up a 2nd round next year is likely going to be a late 2nd round at the end of the round so the value is lower, the Rams want to win now and not wait to next year, they can trade out of the first round next year to recoup a extra pick, also they have two 3rd round picks next year 😂

People who say Fiske was an overpay, forget the Rams philosophy of "F them Picks" 😁 Many said the Rams lost the trade for Stafford ... until the Rams won a ring.💍 Considering how great the Rams have been at drafting, I will trust Sneed & McVay over y'all no offense. 😉

I think the Rams strategy is just fine. Looking at the massive hole AD leaves they knew they need to plug that hole with numbers. Nobody will ever replace AD but getting 2 studs that have built in chemistry is a no brainer here. Not only did they fill the actual vacancy but having 2 guys that already play off each other is a great move in my opinion.

Too much over analysys on Braden Fiske. "A better chance you're wrong than you're right" 47% vs 42%. So you're basing the claim this was the wrong decision on that? The way he and Jared Verse play together and off one another, and will work together growing into the best they can be, to potentially domainate, I think was the draw to this trade. Plus they really needed another DT. Who do you think would have been better at 53? And then they got Brennan Jackson at 154 in the 5th round. Time will tell if they were right.

I don’t think these guys are considering the fact that if the Rams finish deep in the playoffs next season that they can trade down in the first and pick up a 2nd. All possibilities are on the table with Snead. Bigger picture, there will be guys taken in the 1st round that don’t pan out. It’s all a crap shoot and you have a chance to get the guy you want you go get him.

When you evaluate the Braden Fiske pick you have to consider they have already taken Verse in the 1st round. Picks don't happen in a vacuum. Player chemistry is a thing.

So, the year the St. Louis Rams used the 13th pick for AD … a first ballot Hall of Famer and generational player, they spent the No. 2 pick on LT Greg Robinson who was recently busted for a trunk load of weed…soooo…..flip a coin..

The fact is, we won't know if the Rams overpaid for Fiske or not until he plays. He may end up being the steal of the draft even with the extra 2nd rounder thrown in if he balls out. The Bears got an A for Caleb Williams pick, but if he doesn't work out, then they overpaid him. So it's somewhat pointless to grade the draft before they play because we don't know exactly what their real value is before playing. On last year's draft, some fans complained about the Puca pick, but now he's considered one of the best steal of the draft.

like how the rams moved up to "help" fill the hole left by AD. We need help on the D line and pass rush. Verse and Fiske fix that hole. What people have not addressed is the Rams want to win the Super Bowl in the next two years. Stafford is 36 and the window is closing. Pass rush and upgraded secondary give the Rams a chance.

It’ not about going up to get Fiske it’s about seeing the combination of him and Verse and the way they came on towards the end of their first season together. The combo of Verse and Fiske will make the guy in the soccer kit eat his words!

And a Clemson DT - that room was stacked 3-4 years ago. A+ draft…

Remember when they were going all in, and would then be bad for years to come, because they paid “too much” for Jalen Ramsey, and Matthew Stafford, and Von Miller? Or when they were going into a decade long rebuild, because they tore their team down, and had no premium picks to build it back up? We’re talking about a team that went through almost all of the last decade, not picking between 1-32, but somehow a year of not picking 33-64 is going to be the end of them. When are these “experts” going to learn? The Rams do it differently, by design. All y’all WAY overvalue unused draft picks, and they take advantage. Hive mind mentality is a great way to go 8-9 every year.

Late to this viddy ,but here's my take on your take. Fiske and Verse have a chemistry that can't be ignored. They were fast friends and play EXTREMELY well together. Everyone will look back on this "lopsided and costly" swap of picks as one of the best recent moves for the Rams.

This team did not have a first round pick for a very long time and won the superbowl. I don't think giving up a 2nd and 5th to get a guy you feel will instantly help is damaging. This is some serious overanalylizing.

Of all the teams, to criticize drafting, you don’t criticize the Rams. They’re a top 3 drafting team. The Rams haven’t needed first round picks and you’re crying about a future second for a player they had a first round grade on. Kobie Turner, Puka Nacua, Byron Young, Ernest Jones, Nick Scott, etc. the Rams dominate all over the draft. Stay in your lane and evaluate the players picked.

If your argument is spot on, your 5% correct, if you think he's one of the best DTs trade up, you've probably gave up a pick in the late 50s. I think it's worth it.

The big thing with the Fiske trade is if that’s who they really wanted from who best available was on there board they did whatever they could to move up to secure him. Price is steep but if it works out we won’t talk about that trade much I think they possibly thought that the DT’s would slip down the board more but since they started coming of the board they felt the need to make the move they probably planed to stay put but teams valued the DT’s earlier than expected

Not everything is a math equation. Every year half of 2nd round picks are a bust. You are talking like it's guaranteed to find a good player. Rams have an extra 3rd next year for Morris getting hired. They have plenty of capital to make that move up. It's not the end of the world

These guys overblowing the trade for a guy they felt strongly about. The rams have been able to draft better in rds 3-5 than any team in the league without trading up. If Les Snead feels strongly enough to trade up, I have full faith he’s making the right choice. There’s a reason the rams have 1 losing season in 7 years without a 1st. A SB win and 2 appearances. Fiske had a higher RAS score than Michael Hall if I remember correctly ! At the combine he tested in the top 5 at his position ! You’re getting a top 5 edge rusher and interior DL that played together for a future 2nd rounder 🤷🏽‍♂️ ! We could always trade back out of the 1st next year and get that 2nd round back after we win the chip this year 👌🏽💯

L take on Fiske

Although we won't know for certain how any plater will turn out until we see them I will take my chances with the Rams. Not all will be winners but if if we look at how many things the organization has done since Sean arrived (including them questioning his hire) till today and how many of them had positive benefits vs those that were complete bust moves I will take my chances with the Sean and Les.

There are times you need to move up. With the last draft they had last year I am comfortable giving up future draft capital for a player they want NOW. With Stafford being on the last 2 years of his deal and Donald retiring I am so happy they got their man. If it works out who cares about that 2nd round pick and we need to win now.

I think another reason comes into this: they needed DT for sure and maybe on all others who where left they were maybe extreme low and they trust there scouting. Thats why they had to overpay the pick. There was a DT run and i believe they dont like any other who were left

They didn't over pay for Brayden Fisk I don't know why everyone thinks that they did it's just a second round pick who cares and because we're going to be in the Super Bowl it's going to be at the very end of the second round so therefore it's going to be almost like a third round pick

But are the rams ever really wrong? We took a team that were late round draft picks to the playoffs. And when it comes to DT I think the rams know what they’re doing. Watch out for my rams this year!

Rams bros said kevin demov slipped into their dms and told them that trading up and giving away picks also means they have to pay out less money I think the rams wanted to decrease the total amount of money spent on the rookies this year so they were always going to trade up for a player. They weren't able to make a deal for a 1st so they tried to trade up with their next pick. I beat the rams have plans for the money they are "saving"
