Wow! I was just going thru KZfaq and I saw this. They were my Dads favorite Group. Grew up in Falfurrias and heard all this type of music in all of our Family Gatherings. May he and my Dad RIP.

I had the great joy, of listening to them play either while performing or practicing. My carnal' godmother lived in Ben Bolt Texas, and we would be outside. And both men would sit outside playing the accordion and guitar, singing songs and having a great time. They are truly missed. Wish I could've attended one more dance, just to go back to my childhood and teen days in the late 80's and throughout the 90's.

Tienes razón amigo. Yo igual ahí los oía. Recuerdo cuando pasaba el éxito de la semana "en el gusto del público ustedes la han colocado en la cumbre de la popularidad y radio panamericana la presenta como éxito de la semana. Esta es la melodía triunfadora de la semana en KGBT radio" y ahí arrancaba. Recuerdo tropical del bravo con pequeña y frágil allá por el 76 o 77 Cornelio reina Te vas angel mio Rubén naranjo rebelde al destino y por supuesto Palabra de Hombre con Los Gilibiles como decía Jorge Guillén Que hermosos recuerdos de mi niñez. Lástima que esa KGBT 1530 en el mágico valle ya no sea la misma con Chente Aguilar la voz de la noche continental de América Triny Lozano Juan Francisco Cuéllar y en la madrugada Jorge Guillén. Era mi estación preferida aunque solo se captara en la tarde y noche y en la madrugada por allá por una provincia del edo de Veracruz. Pero bonitos muy bonitos recuerdos amigo
