This weeks video is a two part episode on how to lose belly fat and weight. This episode will be focusing on exercises anyone can do at home to lose weight and belly fat, the first episode was on dietary advice. WHAT IS BELLY FAT:
You see the problem is that fat, isn’t just the inch you can pinch known as subcutaneous fat the real danger is the fat that’s in your abdomen and surrounding your internal organs known as visceral fat. Studies have shown visceral fat puts us at higher risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and in women it’s even shown to increase the risk of breast cancer.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND THESE EXERCISES AND WEIGHT LOSS:
If done correctly after 6 weeks the study showed a loss of just over 2cm around the waist of the participants which is great and you can do this without any diet change and see a difference.
Now these results are good but they’re definitely not as good as the diet change group which I spoke about in the first part of this video who lost 1kg a week and 5cm around the waist after 6 weeks.
And this because the participants who only did the abdominal exercises so no diet change only really improved their muscle tone. Now you might be thinking but Abraham what do you mean by that? Well we know by increasing your muscle tone your essentially holding fat in with muscle so they haven’t reduced the fat around the waist but it does give a thinner appearance hence the 2cm reduction.
Which is why it’s important not be fixated on just doing abdominal crunches to try and lose weight or belly fat. Yes these exercises have been shown to give a 2cm reduction in waste size after 6 weeks. But you also really need to make those dietary changes as explained in part one of this video for maximum impact.
If you do the diet correctly you should expect to lose 0.5 to 1kg every week which is great but here’s the best part after 6 weeks the study showed that each individual also reduced their dangerous visceral fat by 14% and they reduced their cholesterol, blood pressure and had a 5cm reduction in their waistline and that’s without any exercise so just imagine the results if you merge these abdominal exercise and diet change.

I’m a bit late to this video, but I wanted to thank you. I’ve did it for about 6 weeks now, and at the start of it, ran out of breath by just doing the plank. I’m use to it now, and am starting to look a bit more toned. The hardest thing to do was the diet, but I’ve strived through it. Thank you very much

This really helped me get on track almost 8-9 months ago I was at around 118kg and I'm now 87kg and plan to get lower. I do go gym/lift weights but this really helped me in the beginning much appreciated

@@mubasheeranafesa7628 calorie deficits definitely help. If you eat abou 1700 calories a day, eat like 1500. If you eat 1500, do 1200. But don’t go lower than like 1000 because I’m pretty sure that’s like really unhealthy

I am 15 and have started to work out quite often + adjusting my portion sizes on the stuff that I eat. I have slimmed up a little bit but gained muscle weight(I went from 150lbs to 170[5ft 6in]). When you start to lose fat weight and gain muscle weight It may feel like you are going in reverse but you end up being happier and just more energetic along with not having to eat all the time. thx for making these videos man

I can't do ALL these exercises, so I'm only doing three. I do three sets of ten crunches with the knees up, three sets of ten crunches, then I do three sets of ten bicycle crunches because I read that you MUST include them in your workout. I take a 30 break after every set and end the workout with a 30 second Front Plank. Mens Health magazine said that ending your workout with a Front Plank is good because it straightens your cores and makes sure your stomach muscles are all in the right place. I'm on week three now and this is the week I added bicycle crunches to my workout. Three more weeks and then I'm gonna measure my waist to see if I've lost any cm. from my waist.

I'm doing this throughout quarantining Day 1: 154 lb (5' 6" F I'm 17) - it felt harder than it should do Day 2: Around the same weight, but definitely feel improvement - I'm still sore from the first day but it felt easier to do but hurt a lot more Day 3: I'm honestly not that sore which is surprising (I've also started to drink more water) and I'm one pound less at 153 today Day 4: I'm still at 153, but honestly I look a lot thinner and feel better Day 5: rest day Day 6: I'm still around 153 but like honestly there's no doubt that it's showing improvement Day 7: I'm about to start following the diet thing too but like wth sit ups are like so easy now? - 152 today Day 8: there’s no weight change but WHAT THE HECK MY LOWER STOMACH IS SO MUCH FLATTER (noticeably) week 3: 151 lbs - I'm going to start incorporating more exercise at this point -therefore I don't think it would be an accurate representation of my progress continuing on, but if yall want a conclusion, this definitely helped as a starting point because it's simple and easy to repeat, but just doing these isn't enough to see major progress. I would recommend that you start with this and that add another exercise to it. Good luck on your journey and thank you for staying with mine :) Like for progress

Like to remind me!! Day 1- I feel tired. I exercised a lot but no difference yet. Edit: it’s been 4 days and a slight difference. Not very much but a little bit Edit 6: only been six days and I see a noticeable difference. I have been doing other workouts and took a break day :) It’s been about 3 weeks of working out and my stomach looks better. I have lost waist size and it is flatter. Only took 1 month.

I will update my results everyday. Goal: Lose 30 pounds in 3 months. Day 1, August 3 Tuesday: I’ve been doing this for a bit but my muscles are burning right now but I feel better. Day 2, August 4 Wednesday: Well to be honest I feel good and I’m pretty used to the pain at this point. Day 3, August 5 Thursday: Ok I was exercising and I checked how much I weighed and out of nowhere I lost 5 pounds. The workout is working and it’s slowly getting more intense! Day 4, August 6 Friday: Did a hell ton of running and exercising and I’m pretty impressed that I felt no pain. Day 5, August 7 Saturday: Ok so I basically did pushups and my body gave up on me so I decided to run outside to feel better. Sunday is church day sorry. Day 6, August 9 Monday: Ate some vegetables and went outside to start running then I did some push-ups then sit ups. Tuesday is a day off sorry. Day 7, August 11 Wednesday: I ran a lot and I indeed failed doing 5 push-ups with my body.. embarrassed :( Day 8, August 12 Thursday: So basically all I did was train to do arm planks better because i find the arm plank more satisfying on losing weight because I felt the pressure on my stomach and my body. November 10 Wednesday: I’ve returned, I will do these kind of exercises more often when I have the time to do them. I will also play a lot of basketball more often so everyone please wait since I took a break from exercising.

I was 70kg, i went on runs and started eating better and now I’m 66.5/67 kg. (155lbs -> 148lbs ish) now I’m gonna try this. I’ll let you guys know what happens.

@@BR0K3NJAY-999 aight u don't know how weight loss works. Doing core work only strengthens and grows ur abs. Doing resist training (weights/bodyweight). Also we need to burn more calories than eaten. Stay in caloric deficit, u will lose fat everywhere. Stomach may be a place where we lose fat after few time

Age:20 Height: 5’8 Weight: 172lbs Day 1: Thought it would be a breeze. It was harder than I anticipated. I definitely felt the burn/tension in my stomach, can definitely tell this will work to reduce fat, if combined with diet. Day 2: I woke up sore, so I know this is working. It was harder to do the exercises since I was sore, but I did manage to push through and completed day 2. Day 3: I woke up sore again. It was a little bit easier than Day 2 but still hard since I was sore, I’ll get used to the soreness though. It’ll take time to see a change, but for me it’s always Process>Result. Day 4: Got injured playing football with some friends, I feel like I got used to the soreness though.

For those who don't know what are the Sets ! The sets in a workout tell you how many times you will repeat a particular number of repetitions of a given exercise. Let's say you're doing triceps kickbacks. Two sets of 15 reps means you'll perform 15 kickbacks two times total, resting between each round

I am gonna try this, starting from today (July 26th 2020) Weight as of today: 88.8kg Age: 14 Height: 178 I do: ### Habits ### - Only Water (No coca cola, pepsi, etc...). - Eat smaller portions of food. - Little to no snacks a week. - Walk atleast 5000/6000 steps (a day) - cca 178750/183000 steps a month (minimum) ### Workout ### - Every 2 days. - 20 second break in between exercises, 0 to 5 second break in between series. - Jumping Jacks (3 series of 10) - Squats (3 series of 15 ) - Plank (15 to 30 seconds) - Sit Ups (3 series of 10) - High Knee Crunches (3 series of 10) - Crunch (3 series of 10) - Rotation Crunch (3 series of 10) - Superman (3 series of 10) Wish me Good Luck! Day 1: Went good, took me around 12 minutes. Muscles in stomach do hurt a bit, but overall I feel little to none improvement. Day 2: My leg hurt a lot, but little to none improvement. Took me 12 and ahalf minutes. Did 10k steps. Sorry for not potsting updates, I have injured my leg but now I am back! Day 3: Nothing really hurts, felt easy to do them all. Day 4: No workout, 10k steps done. Day 5: Workout took 16 minutes, took bigger breaks, hurts to stand (left leg) Day 6: No workout, 12k steps done. Day 7: We're in a week! Workout took only 12 minutes. My tummy feels smaller, yet it looks the same. Day 8: Walked 17 kilometers (20k steps), my legs don't hurt at all. Day 9: Workout took me 11 minutes and 32 seconds, my legs hurt but otherwise it's fine. Day 10: My muscles still hurt, only 7k steps done.

@@isabisa1227 the only thing other than the video is just other sports like me I play like basketball sometimes and I never have cheat days and that month of me losing 15 pounds didn’t have a cheat day so I forced myself and that’s what really helped

Dang you’re small for being 14 I’m 14 and I’m 140 pounds Which is usually average for a boy at 14 But I have more muscle than most of the kids at 140 pounds so I don’t have as much fat to loose

Good demonstration of exercises. If you practice few deit modifications, your weight loss can reduce very fast. 1. Increase fiber intake in your diet. 2. Cut back refined sugars. 3. Increase protein intake. 4. Try intermittent fasting. 5. Increase your routine physical activity.

I'm 25, height 5'4 and weight is 73 KGs. I'm not fat and haven't done exercise in my entire life. I started doing some workout at home around 1 week ago and indeed people are right, I've never felt more fresh and energetic in my life. Let's hope I don't drop it now 😅
