That scale advice is golden. Your body is not on a schedule and it’s not a machine. I weigh every day because I’m crazy, but I don’t let it affect my mood. I look at the overall graph and realize that the TREND is what matters. Thanks for “tricking” us into watching! 🤪

You're not crazy. I weigh daily too because it's routine for me. I used to forget on "weigh day" and I am a little crazy when it comes to tracking. I would get so bummed on Monday when I realized I forgot to weigh on Friday weigh-in 😂 so I have been weighing daily for years. Sunday is shot day and the day that I "count" but like Alli said, I usually have my biggest loss somewhere before or after Sunday. As long as it doesn't trigger you and send you into a spiral, it's OK! You aren't crazy!

You are so right I lost 100 pounds by changing my lifestyle I threw away all the bad foods in my pantry and started a low carb lifestyle. Once I lost 100 pounds on my own. I then hit a Plato for three months talked to my doctor and she said let’s try mounjaro so I started it 4 weeks ago and I’ve lost 2 pounds so fingers crossed this will help me lose 75 pounds more to get to my goal 150. Thanks for all your help and inspiration ❤

I knew better that your title was totally drawing in those needing to be realistic and the video was going to be an educational one instead. Geaux Ali !!

Great advice! Like you, I would never go to the gym if I had a membership. In the past, I went 'all in' on exercise and fizzled out within months. I am finding that I do better if it is smaller chunks and convenient. When I worked in the office, I found a friend that could walk with me on breaks and lunch. This was convenient and made me accountable. I now work exclusively from home and will for the foreseeable future. I invested in an under the desk treadmill. At first, I had my computer monitors precariously balanced on boxes on an old kitchen table and just walked. Nothing is more convenient than working and walking or slow jogging. I work in IT, and it doesn’t fair well if I’m coding but there are many other tasks that walking is fine. I finally invested in a sit to stand desk and I walk daily. The resistance training was much harder to start. It isn’t exactly convenient, so I found some beginner weight training videos that are about 20 minutes. It is a lot easier for me to justify 20 minutes but if it is longer, it is hard for me to get started. There have been literally times that I wanted to go to bed but I didn’t weight train. I just weight trained in my pajamas before bed. Any longer or less convenient there is a real possibility that I would not do it. I’m a ‘I can start tomorrow’ kind of person. I also have a habit tracker on my phone. This has things like drinking water, walking, weight training, fiber chews, flossing, taking vitamins, etc. There are times that I am drinking water and flossing at 10:00 pm. I know it sounds funny to have to play mind tricks with myself, but habits can be hard to maintain when the initial drive to lose weight is gone. I must have manageable ‘habits’ to sustain me. I’m really trying to set myself up for long term success which is hard when you have a lifetime of bad habits. 🙂

I’m a new follower but I really love and appreciate your videos. I am getting ready to start 7.5MG after 23 weeks being on Tirezeptide and my scale keeps hanging around the same 10 pounds. Still trying to get to figure it all out but I’ve not ate any fried/fast food at all since I started. I think I have to remember to stay hydrated which is a problem since my Bariatric surgery in 2013. We are all on our own journeys and appreciate your honesty.

I love what you did here. I saw the title and was like, "Has Ali been hacked?" 😂 Thank you, Ali. Please give Kevin some love from us. I seriously need to find your dog nutrition group 👀

I completely get everything you’re saying and agree. I love your videos. You’re very practical and straightforward and I appreciate that. I do confess that when I first started this journey I was thinking oh I’ll get my first and second week Woosh if you will and I’ll lose 3 to 5 pounds each of those first 2 weeks and then it’ll calm down into a one and a half to 2 pound a week loss That didn’t happen. It would’ve happened when I was much younger, but not now.😩

I have a soda stream, love it, get the carbonation, and add flavor with lemon or sometimes strawberries.

You are cracking me up Ali, I love your straight point shooting advice!! You are so right, and I know that I even get mad at the adds like it is some magical shot, and honestly I appreciate this mediation however it has mostly been slow losing, and I am eating healthy and eating my protein, and drink lots of water.
